I installed new Bosio diesel injector nozzles and am amazed how smooth the truck idles now. Wasn't difficult at all and was relatively cheap.

Old nozzles on the bottom and new one on top.

Who'd you source these through? Did you replace the heat shields? Im pretty sure they're consumable items. Thankfully they're cheap.

Replace the injector bypass lines while you're in there. I just picked up some from MBZ. Damn that stuff expensive. $18/meter, but I swear it runs smoother. This engine has some weird quirks...

I haven't updated my thread in a while but I'm still making progress. Trans tunnel is ready for paint, ford shock towers burned in, fender supports done, etc

Hamp should be ready to roll soon eh?

Got the nozzles and shields from IDParts.com. I got the bypass kit from Mercedes Source, but haven't installed it yet.

Any progress is good. Just have to keep at it. I'm probably going to tackle the FJ60 knuckle/disk brakes and power steering next since they'll all related. Driving the pig with no power steering and drum brakes is scary! :-)

Are you going 60 knuckles on 55 housing? What will you do for tie rod? What will you do for steering stabilizer? See my PS thread for Toyota p/ns of 70 series relay rod. Problem is that the eye for the stabilizer is too far over to use the mount on the crossmember...

Yes, 60 knuckles on a 55 axle. I bought the IPOR high steer kit for my SOA setup. Came with the high steer arms, pitman, new relay and tie rods with FJ80 TRE's. No plans yet on the steering stabilizer. I'll probably have to fab up something for the stabilizer, but that's a ways away.

Pablo,

Just have to cut the mount off the crossmember and save the taper and make your own mount with the taper welded in. I had to move mine three inches over, worked good.

Nice, that sounds solid!

Ron, do you have this pictured? I will have to go back through your build. Thanks!

I found a Toyota P/N for a 70 series tie rod, but I think it will be tricky to get, and probably a questionable amount of $.
Or I can go up the road to these guys and get one... http://frontrangeoffroadfab.com/steering-links/?page_context=category&faceted_search=0 for $70

Did you sell it? There was a link to this thread on BaT.

How is the power with 35's with your diesel. I am considering the same swap to SOA and 35s or 37s.

Good, but I had to install an H41 instead of an H42 for the lower 1st gear. You could go with an H55 as well.
