Hey Halo.

Your cage looks really solid. You have more than enough cross and diagonal members to take care of you whether you roll to the side or over the top. And if it is A36 steel which I assume it is, it should be able to hold up more than double the weight of your cruiser. Thats just my point of view though and I am not an expert. Just doing my structural classes in college so looking at structures under load is one of the requirements.

Rig is coming along nice. With the LS1 in it that thing is gonna be scary powerful. Have fun man.

it just didnt happen that weekend... really hard to get all my crap done on it on weekends. now its fuggin cold here, and im a big vagina, so i doubt its coming out this weekend, unless it really warms up. it has to be a dry day too, since im going to be welding and painting it in the driveway.

ok boys and girls. i need some help. im trying to decide what tranny to use. i am getting that LS1 and 4L60E, but dont know if i want to use it. im thinking of trying to use a t400 instead. i think the simpicity, lack of computer control, and bulletproofness suites my need, plus being able to get a reverse valve body.

so anything you can tell me otherwise? thoughts? ideas?
anyone need a 4L60E (2wd)?
i need a t400 (4wd).......

too rainy cage is coming out the next dry weekend i have though. i got the sliders for the rear tub protection done, and all the cage supports welded in. cage comes out, painted and stuck in the back yard. tub gets prepped and then sent to get bed lined.


i have new motivation now :evil: theres a purple truck in my fuggin class of mud drags that i race with my cheap truck. he shouldnt be in my class, he's trying to buy the series. just wait till next season. this cruiser is gonna fawk his world up.


i have decided to not put a LS1 in it, but a SBC, and build it. i have a little 2 stage nitrous setup just dying to be used, and what would be easier than to just spray the hell out of a small block? 100 shot on a WOT switch, and another 150 on a button

what do you guys run for chevy small block headers? i dont wanna run block huggers. what about over the frame rail headers?


what about inside frame rail headers?

over the frame rail "boat" type headers suck. Keeps lots of heat in the engine bay, takes up a ton of room and puts your mufflers in a great place to get bashed.

Best bet is some ramshorn type block huggers or stock vortec headers, or really anything that stays inside the frame rails

spent the weekend scrubbing off the writing on the cage from Ryan, owner of Wicked Fab. recently Ryan passed away from Cystic Fibrosis
this is for you buddy.

this is one of the reasons im back on the cruisah. i cant let his tubework go to waste and sit in a garage.




well bitches, im at it again.

im sunburt from fawking with the cage all weekend, but its worth it. this was a major hurdle for me. one, because of time constraints. two, money involved.
three, mental. but hey, im doin it!


anywhoo, cage was scrubbed with #4 steel wool and acetone. about 6 cans of spraypaint later it was painted.
