I think I got it all figured out. I just need to clean it all up now, and add spacers and correct bolts and make it look good and not all hillbilly. I am pretty happy, what a pain in the butt this has been, but it all worked out. Got all the accessories I wanted to change to fit, everything is lined up.

I also need to find a wider belt pully for the York, and for the GM power steering pump. The Toyota pully fit on the GM alternator, so that was nice. I will see what I can find for the York and Saganaw next week.

I also got a new harmonic balancer yesterday, so going to clean that up and put it on so I can get the spacing perfect.

I haven't had a chance to do much the last few days, been busy with other projects. But I sand blasted the manifold, and made a flange for when it's time to do exhaust....

But... I also sold the 350/SM420/transfer case. So tomorrow I am pulling it all out and starting to clean up the mess of an engine bay. It's been getting uglier and uglier over the last few years, so it will be nice to tidy it up while it's all apart. I'm going to go for a drive somewhere in the morning... since I won't be driving my 40 for a few months... and then tearing the engine out! Yikes.. no going back now I guess.

Looking good. I am gonna have to subscribe. I just picked up a 3F-E to embark upon my 2F-E build.

Not much new going on... cut off the old motor mounts, doing the transmission mounts today and then will wire wheel and paint the whole frame. I finally got the valve guide seals ordered, and got the head to the machine shop yesterday. So at this point it's time to start doing all the gaskets on the block. Hopefully early next week I can get that all done, and get the head back and install it for real. Then I can put the transmission and transfer case on, and actually stick the motor back into the truck. I am hoping next weekend maybe to get it all installed. We'll see.

Then.. the wiring. I'm so scared of the wiring it's not even funny. I have no idea what to do with this all, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little stressed about figuring that all out.

You should reach out to @cruiserbrett. He helped me through my wiring problems on my 2fe build. He also made a harness for @DomSmith for his build as well.
Good luck with your engine swap. You're going to love it once your up and running.

The 2FE will locate the the airbox (I really, really am hellbent on using the factory airbox) right next to the heater vent. Seeing how most of the places we wheel are pretty much silt city, I'd really love to run a snorkel... plus, honestly, FJ40s look awesome with them. However, there aren't many options, if any, for a right side snorkel for 40s. I could buy one for another vehicle, and try to make it work... or I could make one. I thought about round stainless or aluminum tube, bent up at an exhaust shop, but decided I didn't love the round look... so... plasma cutting one out of aluminum. I'll buy an ARB ram, or a prefilter... not sure what I want to do yet, but once I have it I'll figure out the total height I want it to be, and it will straighten out for the topper, whatever it is. I will use the heater vent, so I won't even have to cut a big ass hole into my cruiser. :)

Dropped the flywheel off today, and started doing gaskets. Jesus the oilpan is stuck on there... like.. really, really stuck on there. The rest are going easy enough. I'm excited to get it all bolted together and installed. Getting close. Then I get to deal with the disaster that is the wiring and dash in my cruiser. Yikes. Got a lot to clean up.

Don't forget to grab the shorter valve cover studs from the 2f head.
