Now I'm following you. You're going through a whole of work, for this 80 axle. What's you're main reasons in useing it. Elocker, etc.
Are they that much stronger than a 60 axle. I give you credit, taking on big jobs with the wagon. I always like to see what you come up with next.![]()
the 80 axle is a full floater, so the weight of the rig is on the bearings on the hubs, not the axle shafts. this eliminates the bending of shafts, but with the Elocker, presents the possibility of a twisted shaft, which requires cutting thru the housing in order to cut the shaft in order to bring out the third in order to replace said shaftas long as I'm not jumping the truck full throttle with 35 or bigger tires while locked, I should be ok. it also gives me factory rear disk brakes and an e brake.....I was going for the e brake, everything else is just a bonus
