Now if someone would just leak the Landcruiser numbers for those of us that give zero schitz about the Lexus…

Guys..this is CRAZY! Those sheets are showing that there is the possibility for a slicktop (no moonroof)! If only the Lexus/Toyota overlords allocate some of them this way for us..

My local Lexus dealer said their GX training isn't until Jan 7th. Surprising given the fact that Lexus just rolled out a Christmas-themed GX advertisement.

I would prefer to not have a moonroof as I've had them leak. But my guess is that we will never see one at a Lexus dealer without a moonroof.

I think you're right - but I hope you're wrong. Perhaps we get distributions to Hawaii or Puerto Rico as we have with other oddball configurations of LC, LX, GX in the past.

And I very much prefer moonroofs, as I think most do, but I'm also guessing if not having it is an obvious option then they will be out there. Rare and harder to find but not 'never'.

I would want the non-opening panoramic glass roof that the Luxury+ has, but sadly it's locked to that trim level. The normal sized sunroof doesn't do much for me.

Can the panoramic glass roof be opened? If not it would be of no use to me.

The hardest part about any new model or body-style in demand is you will probably not be able to order your own spec for a while. Currently Dominion Lexus in SATX told me, If you put a deposit on one of the first deliveries, you can give them your preferences and they will "try their best to match them".

This is the issue with the new body style Toyota Sequoia... you could offer 120K and the dealer couldn't order one to spec... it would be an inter-dealership trade from one dealer to the other... The factory where the Sequoia and Tundra's are built is in the same town as I live... Can anyone confirm or deny this with facts beyond what I have been told?

^ That video matches out experience as well. It's really better to wait on one of these - knowing it might be a few years out - unless you REALLY need one right now. It should get better as inventory catches up and demand slows down due to a softer economy. Mrs. Rednexus had to wait almost a year for her Highlander Hybrid.

The early release photo looks like a single piece of glass. If that's the case - you can probably only open it once. :)

I'd agree that it's not very useful if it doesn't open. The only reason I'd want that trim would be if an aftermarket company made a replacement panel to replace the glass with a removeable panel that fits the bigger open hole. That would be a great option I think. Or it could be very cool to do a custom safari style lift roof. Otherwise - I guess you can look out the top at the bottom of a roof rack.

Oh God no. I absolutely do not understand the appeal of panoramic roofs. They add weight up high. They increase glare and solar gain inside. They also increase noise and cost. No thank you very much.

I think that it electronically dims like this:

Cute, gimmicky and useless - to me anyways.

I think it may be very useful to have the darkening option on the panoramic roof.

I've driven a Model Y in the southwest in summer. The panoramic glass roof on those is so hot that the AC can't keep up and it never cools down to a comfortable level inside. The glass its self is so hot that you can't touch it if it's sitting in the sun. The only fix for a Model Y is to put a vinyl wrap on the outside. Supposedly if you tint it on the inside it'll create enough heat in the panel to crack it. If the electrochromatic glass works to reflect heat well, it would be a nice feature. If it's just hot and black vs hot and clear - not so much. I've never driven one with a roof like that in hot sunny condition.

FYI Dealers have received the official price sheet. It’s pretty complete and several pages long.

You should be able to get a copy. I would attach the one I have. However, I am mobile right and can’t inspect the file for any unique identification (want to protect the folks who sent me a copy just in case)
