I also was able to get the DELTA rear panhard bracket on.

With doing all to the rearend changes via new control arm bushing & bracket, the way the rig turns is a huge difference. The best way to describe it is it turns flatter... meaning the rear does not raise up while in a breaking turn. It stays flat & follows the front. No more turning on top of a ball type feeling. I'm sure @nukegoat has a more proper word terminology to describe that.

Didnyou have to grind the delta bracket at all? I had to grind mine down a bit to clear my spring.

I can slide a business card through the coil & bracket, but Im sure once I take it off road it will rub a little.

Sounds about like mine... it would clang when it rubbed.

Do your front springs make any noise? Mine still pop fairly loud when wheeling and even pop a bit when going around corners...

My front end popped when I had the 851s in there, then I added coil spacers thinking it would stop it never did.
It does the same sound with the Slinkies so I know its not them causing the popping.
I can go in a ditch & it will pop once when it drops... I can back up back & forth... it wont do it till it drops the other tire out.
It does it in the garage when being lifted with a jack.... I cant figure it out.
I need someone to drive it for me so I can be out side to watch it.... very strange.
This vid below is with the 851 coils & a 25mm coil spacer with L shocks.
The rear tires are rubbing my flares in this vid also.

This is great to know. I'm happy to hear it's not specific to my vehicle. I'm also happy to hear that it's not specific to Slinkys. I wish I lived closer, we could get together and try to figure out where the sound is coming from. Mine stopped popping on-road a few months back. But, since wheeling season started, it has started popping when taking corners quickly.

Finaly had a day off work got some stuff crossed off the list...
I changed out the 500 mile break in diff oil for the 488 gears.
My last change was 193,584
This change is 197,874 with Mobil1 High Mileage 10w30 & filter.

I also installed a Redarc Tow Pro Elite Trailer Brake controller.

So... I did the 4:88 gears, new rotors, pads, E brake, Delta rear panhard bracket, new lower control arms & replaced all rear upper link bushings to be able to pull this travel trailer. I have gone over several 6% to 10% grades & can say I'm impressed it got the job done but barely... but still very impressed with what this 80 series can do.
Plus bombing whoop sections & doing bowls in the dunes. Don can tell you I don't baby the Lx450..

Going to the beach fully loaded with wife 2 kids & 2 dogs in the back & the trailer had 55 gallons of water on board plus a week of stuff. It was at the 5,000 tow cap for sure.

I posted this on the 80 weekend thread.

I was able to get away with the family for the 1st time out in the new to us travel trailer. The Lx pulled it like a champ (thanks for all your help @mazder Then we bombed the dunes with @ToyotaDon & we met @Silverscout out there camping in his green Lx450. @musthave showed up just before we left on the last day. It was fun meeting Tim & his family, talking about his adventures in the "West Coast Cruiser"

What does three 80 series & a 100 series add up to besides 340? Answer: A bunch of fun...

We are so blessed to be able to camp & have camp fires right on the beach. Hopefully this will continue... they are all set to close Oceano Dunes down for good.

We had a awesome time... we will be back soon to Pismo/Oceano Dunes.

Sometimes when your having to much fun you forget to pics & vids, but
@ToyotaDon got this one for me.
His 2 sons in the back didn't want to do it... it was classic.

My original guess on RPM for the 488 gears 37s was approx 100 rpm high. Thought 60 mph was 2950 but reality is 2850. Plus the Lx likes to tow at 58 mph which cruises at 2700 which is fine on flat ground.

So, I picked up a set of 10% High gear set for the Tcase. This should get me back to wear I wanted originally around 2970 doing the math. If in axles would be like 5:36 gears.

I trimed my front bumper to allow my winch cover to fit & added a cheap LED light. It works for now I've never been happy with how it looks. It's only held on by 2 bolts & it's bent. I've cut on it so many times. I'm eventually gonna get a welder & fix it or built a complete new one... same for rear.

Next weekend I will be actually doing some tent camping & wheelin with my oldest daughter... 1st time this year geez time flies... its almost Augaust.
Spanish Lake Trail if its open.
Its been on my bucket list for at least 5 years.
It will be a great time.

Had to trim rear fender flares a bit more... since the new rear control arms... then snapped a poser shot.
The morning sun hit the side & made it look gold in color.

Later all...
Happy trails to you...

While I was swapping out rear coils I did a quick & dirty vid.
It is what it is... it was 3am.
2.5" frame bumps & @Hitit66 1.5" puck bumps for the cone bumps in the rear.

Great to see the correlation between the cone bump and the other with your spacer. Are you putting the heavy coils back in?

Yes, I was bottoming out pretty hard at Pismo dunes with 3 kids 2 dogs & my wife.
It will also help with the trailer, but I did something crazy...

Why is your thumb silver?

I was finally able to get out & do some wheelin tent camping this last weekend with my oldest daughter.
It's kind of our annual hang out together thing.
We spent some time hanging with the 4x4Him.com Christian Wheeler group at there Rock Hopper Roundup weekend.
We went Rouge from their selection of trails to get the Spanish Lake Trail off my Bucket list.
It was a Fast & Furious 9 hour round trip back to Bald Mountain Base Camp.
I want to go back & hike up to Rodgers Ridge to see the Kings Canyon Nation Forest from the North side down into the Kings River Canyon next time we have a chance to go back.
Fun Fact: from the trail head of 6,500' up to campground 8,900' elevation that's a 2,700 foot climb.

We did a family trailer type camp at San Simion State Park & did a scenic coastal highway 1 run up to Big Sur. My family has never been up that way, it was a beautiful drive. We did evening walks, campfires & smores all that great family stuff...

~~~~~~~
On the 80 tech side...
The Lx450 sits about 1" taller with the cut Slinky heavy coils over the Intermediate coils with same load.
The pic below has the whole family fully loaded without the load levelers pulled up.
20190812_181036.jpg
With whole family & load levelers pulled up 2 links, which is hardly tight at all.
20190818_042958.png
It sits good empty also...
