I used to think King’s was the sexiest shock until I saw these. Pure sex.

Adjustments seem to be endless on those things.Next up... I need tires again. Want to go 35" but not a 12.5", and everything for that seems to be in an 18" wheel. My RWs are 17" and I don't really want to buy another set to wheel with. So... Maybe I'll just end up 35x12.50. IDK.
ATToyo makes an AT3 in a 35 11.5 I believe or you might be able to scare up a 305/70/17 (33.9-34") in some other flavors.
Not so much yet. I was really wanting to be in another set of the Toyos or a set of KM3s, but I'll have to look elsewhere for this sizing.Adjustments seem to be endless on those things.
Have you looked into Kenda's 35x10.5 17s?
I forgot. You enjoy the tire drone with your functionality.
I don't. But I enjoy going over whatever I point the truck at.I forgot. You enjoy the tire drone with your functionality. My bad. Then back to the MTs. Nittos and Toyos 11.5s.
My fat girl's gotten some new goodies in the last few weeks.
Added Wheeler's super bumps to the front control arms. I only did the 1 pair for now to see how I like them. I installed them in the forward position. So far I think they helped a lot with some 'jarring' over moderate bumps, such as the little rain gutter across the entrance to my driveway.

Next up were the shocks. I installed the fronts earlier this week and wrapped up the rears earlier today. Dobinson's MRA all around, the fronts being the extended length flavor. I really like the ride so far, but I'll be playing with the knobs for a while getting it just right. I also removed the AirLift bags from the rear springs as I just don't ever use them. Ziptied the air lines securely so I can put them back in pretty easily in the future if need-be.

Install of the shocks was straight forward. I spent about an hour messing with the top nut on the rear shocks before I decided that cutting them off was best. So out came the Ultra-Tool and within a few minutes, they were both out. Note to self, don't cut these Dobinson's out before sending out to rebuild in the future.

Mileage is 308,600.

Muffler is still there, but the resonator behind the axle is gone. I chopped it off when I installed the rear bumper. IMO, I love how the truck sounds. Throaty down low, no drone on the highway. I attribute the throatiness to the small hole in the muffler, though, and less so the lack of resonator.Good work on the shocks!
Never noticed that you run without a muffler - how's the drone at highway speeds?
If you want 18" wheels, my arm can be twisted in swapping your 17" RW with my 18" Tundra wheels. Just LMK!
Noice!! That frame is pristine!Little updates.
After I installed the shocks a little while back, I gave the chassis a good cleaning. Combo of murphy's oil soap, some foaming wash, and decreaser mixed in my foam cannon. 15° pressure nozzle. Bada Bing.

Over this last weekend I took Gerry and some of my oldest best friends out to do some backpacking in the George Washington National Forest. Lessons learned: f*** backpacking- I own a Land Cruiser now. But the drive up in the Blue Ridge was gorgeous. I haven't been up this way since college.

On my drive home from VA, I rolled 310k. So today was oil change day. Sitting at 310,494 currently.
In an attempt to chase down this vibration between 70-80mph, I put on a spare set of wheels and tires today. My hope was to rule out or confirm if my RWs/Toyos are the issue. Unfortunately, nothing conclusive other than my truck looks chicken- legged.

So I've got a set of Dyna-Beads on order now. They'll swap directly to the next set of 35s, but maybe they'll be helpful in the short term.![]()
Tell @sammybonesNoice!! That frame is pristine!
