It will take me some time to do a complete listing here on this for sale ad. I am getting it started now though.
About a year and a half ago a customer started acquiring Cruiser things to build a 105-series. He has decided to cancel the build since he has a lot of Cruisers and wants to take a break from builds for awhile. I am sure he will chime in here in this for sale ad but I will leave that up to him. We here at my shop have helped acquire a lot for the build as well as stored all the goodies. The only thing not here at our shop currently is the actual 100-series.
First up; the plan was to build a FZJ105 using a new 1FZFE coil pack long block we had found along with an H151 manual trans and a HF2A full time tcase, the trans and tcase are also new from Toyota. There had been talk of turbo'ing the 1FZFE but that was still up in the air. A very nice low mile (around 100k) 2000 100-series was sourced as well. Our plan was to put the 100-series body on an FZJ80 chassis. We do have a 1997 FZJ80 nice and clean rust free chassis for the build here at the shop. About $60k in OEM Toyota parts were sourced to do the build, that does not include the cost of the 1FZFE long block.
Make no mistake, this is a PROJECT. The 105 needs to be built. We would like to sell this as a package deal because it is easier for everyone involved. We will see how that goes before considering breaking things up. By far the best value here is in buying the package deal but I guess you have to want an FZJ105. We are ready to go here at my shop to build the Cruiser for you, I can give you a rough idea on what that will cost labor wise. Since we had planned out the build we are well versed on how it should and would unfold.
Rare opportunity here to get a LHD 105-series. I am sure we will begin to see these imported over the next few years but not many will be LHD and none will have all these new OEM parts and assemblies.
Here is the quick and dirty listing of what we have for the project, all parts are new OEM Toyota unless otherwise noted.
-2000 UZJ100, low mile at around 110k. River Rock Green Mica
-1997 FZJ80 donor chassis, no title
-New OEM from Toyota 1FZFE coil pack long block - 240hp and 300ftlbs stock
-All related engine parts, coil packs/manifolds and so forth
-H151 5spd trans
-HF2A full time tcase
-All wiring harness to convert a UZJ100 to a FZJ105. $10k in OEM wiring harnesses that were not easy to source.
-Interior bits for the manual trans conversion, console surround, ect.
-Poverty Pack exterior trim bits
-Front and rear 80/105 axle housings.
-FZJ105 gague cluster.
I will update this with pictures and a better listing of parts as I can. Currently not parting this out!
Let's start this at $70,000 and I can tell you that is far less than what the owner has in it all.
Pm me, email me at ian@snlandcruisers.com and as I mentioned I am sure the owner will chime in here so you can communicate with him as well.
Cheers
