I got home. And then sold my daily driver because I was sick of working on it. I loved my diesel mercedes but it was a "do everything" on it or dump it kinda situation. I chose to dump it:rofl:

Since I was now dailying my rock crawler, I figured I should fix the rear panhard. The rear axle was doing weird things sooo I put in an eimkieth ram. It was super easy to install and seemed to fix the chassis rotating counter clockwise under hard throttle, counter clockwise on decel, and tuned out some body roll. This bracket flatens the panhard at ride height and raises the roll center of the rear suspension, neat product.

OH yeah! I did some local wheeling! All of the body damage on the car has happened here in Montana. I'll do 9s in utah and get out without a scratch on the car... but the moment I hit a trail here, I'm creasing doors, breaking tail lights, and denting fenders... so dumb

Woody came by in his buggy and helped spot me up it and he took a rad picture. Thanks again! Can somebody tag him? I dont know what is name on mud is... which is kinda funny.
It is literally @woody lol 🤦🏻‍♂️🍻

I went camping and tried out my new swag and only got a little scared of bears. kinda neat.

And I finally painted my wheel so its not bronze.... I used this krylon metalic paint that has a TON of flake in it. kinda neat
I'm trying not to jinx it, but I got a happy little car right now. I finally feel like I didn't build something that sucks

UUUhhhh next up is putting johnny joints in the front panhard. The ruffstuff heims have been clunking for a while. But rockjock doesn't make a 2" wide, 9/16" bolt, 7/8" rod end for some reason..or Im dumb and I can't find it.. so I'm waiting on a new ball thingy for the joint. I ordered a new c clip for the birfs because I could take one side off by hand after the fallen. And I should probably do an oil change? Weird couple of months

Sand hollow was fun. I was the second time that cars been there and it's a VERY different car.
We did our traditional double sammy night run and did the chute in the dark. Did a combo of wayne's world and the fallen the next day. My sway bar arm bent on Z turn... and I havent really taken the time to figure out why.

We did kinda😂 we just got side tracked on the fallen too! You shoulda stayed, you could’ve taught me how to not suck at wheeling

Those wheels look fantastic in that color. I wish they came in that color. Now I'm not afraid to buy a set and just paint them. I've been searching for a set of five spoke silver wheels like this. Now to just find a set of them that are rock rashed and paint them.

I wish I was as cool as you and had time to go out to do cool s***. My plans for Utah have been dashed this fall, but maybe in the spring. Although looking at all these pictures I definitely couldn't keep up with y'all with just 3" springs and shocks. heh.

I noticed on the Eimkeith PCK you only installed the axle side. How much lift do you have in the rear? I could probably go back and find it for myself if I search long enough. I have both sides of it installed, but maybe I have more lift. My panhard is flat, but I've kind of considered if I should bring the frame side up a notch to add just a tad of tilt to it, that way when I have a load it will be flat.

Buy a set and make them your own🙏🏼, I like the color alot! And you’d do just fine on an Utah trip! My 80 essentially just has a 3” lift🤷🏻‍♂️.
For the pck I have the axle and frame side welded in. I’m running a 3” icon spring in the rear with a 1” spacer on the drivers side.

Yep I looked again, I missed that is has both sides. The paint blends really well. He makes these things so well they can be hard to spot. I was amazed how well the RAM fit before welding.

I just want to go back to conquer spots in Utah that I failed at in my FJ Cruiser. And be more comfortable than I was in my 92 pickup.

Looking forward at how that works out. I put a Johnny joint track bar in my xj and the front end moved so much more “freely”.

This is next on my list for my link set up. I wonder what killed the RuffStuff heims so fast? I have them on my links, but the big ones obviously. I love that those are greasable

All done. My clunk went away and the steering feels tight again. The Johnny joints feel perfectly adequate for the job. I feel like dumb that I spent so much on this project though. I could’ve gotten summit machines or ballistics and not had to mess with the joints.

Heims never seem to last on dailys, especially cheap ones. I tried to make mine last longer by adding the boots, but they already kinda clunked by the time I put them on.

Yeah, mine's a daily, but my commute is 7 minutes each way so it's an easy life lol. Hoping they last longer or I'll be making a change

Do you have heims in all of your links or just the panhard?
I have them in all of my links, but not the panhard yet. Been waiting to do that until I figure out what changes I'm going to make with my knuckles and steering so it all lines up. Probably going to highsteer and crossover this winter. I'll be changing the panhard at that point and then heims will go in that as well.

Sounds rad! I highly recommend not doing the front range knuckles😂
