Can't afford OEM and the Denso's are out of stock everywhere. Anyone have options?

Need a fuel pump assembly kit, fuel sender, and filter asap

2005 LX470

I have used many used parts including fuel pumps and never regretted. I bought a used blower motor from eBay 3 months ago, and it is still going strong. New was over 300 and used was 60 bucks.
Used OEM parts are better than cheap quality new parts. I have a used OEM fuel pump from 1UZFE, if that can fit your car, I can mail it to you for the price of priority shipping.
The pump I have is in top-notch shape even though it is used, but it's working fine, as long it fits your car.

Check these and match it with your existing fuel pump.

Correction! The photos you see above are for 1FZ-FE and this one I uploading now is for 1UZFE. 1FZ-FE should be compatiable for 2UZ because this what Toyota website shows, but I am not sure.

Denso FP, no longer available. Best is new OEM from Toyota/Lexus. There are aftermarkets available. But, buy cheap get cheap. If a DD, staying within ~20 miles of home, buy cheap and carry tow insurance.

If you want one and done reliability. Install OEM, replace fuel tanks top seal for pump, fuel filter and green retaining clip. Torque everything to spec. Good for average of 250K miles.

100 series 98-05. notice how and where, wire harness and fuel line connect

Is the '06-'07 fuel pump a different part number? Edit: I'm finding 23221-66040 for '02-'05, and 23220-50160 (with the "cage") for '06-'07, to be clear. Also, this thread might help: 2006-2007 fuel pump denso #950-0210 instead of 23220-50160

Delphi should have one that fits. That's what I went with on my LX 450 when the OE died at 205K miles last summer.

Is yours still working? I put the Delphi in last spring and it looks like it’s already failing
What are your symptoms? That would be quite disappointing. Mine is still working, although I don't drive a lot of miles. Small road trip of 360 miles coming up at the end of this month.

it’s been over 100 degrees here in southern oregon this last week and three times now it’s stalled out completely and left me stranded. Twice I was running the AC, this last time I wasn’t (out of fear) and it died anyways. When this happens I first notice it’s running a little rough, then it feels ‘heavy’ like I’m giving it gas and not getting normal acceleration, and then it sputters and dies completely. All dash lights etc on, no starting again until it sits for at least an hour or so, sometimes it’ll start for a second and then sputter and die again. Once it cools down I seem to be able to get it to go but only for a period of time. No codes thrown, no dash lights on when running (checked for security light and relay issue those all seem to be fine).

Last spring I had similar stalling with no warning, we replaced the fuel pump with the Delphi, which seemed to solve it until now.

Fuel pressure test kit arriving today so I’ll update with that info

I'm running Delphi, no problems yet...3 months-ish.
I did OEM Fuel filter at the same time to remove a potentially clogged old one from the blame chain.
I replace my fuel filter with OEM shortly after buying the rig in 2021. Pump died approximately 2 years later.

Bumping the old thread as this may help out. I found a still available Denso fuel pump ( 951-0020 ) that worked for my '01 LX470. Looking at the Toyota parts diagram part numbers, looks like the base model 2nd gen Tundras that came with the 4.7 2UZ and the later 4.6 1URs which were made up until 2014 used the same fuel pump, same specs pressure and flow wise as the 100 series 2UZ. The plug has to be swapped with the new larger blade style ( at least on my '01 ) but that's the case with the others like Delphi which I have used on an 80 series. I cleaned the old filter/sock and it fit perfectly on the new unit, it is installed and working great.
