Trying to finalize arrangements with Roger now.Well, @Racer65 can hold my doors for shipping until you get eyes on them. As one of the respected gurus in our community, your vote of approval will give a lot of members the needed assurance on the quality of the product. If we have finally found a source for doors and the like, it’ll be a complete game changer for everyone.
I got one unboxed and found a bunch of bubble wrap. They still need to make it another 2k miles home so figured I'd leave them packaged. I was pressed for time that morning as well.@roma042987 Any thoughts on your doors? Pics?
I took a quick video of my set and uploaded it to YouTube. UPS damaged my doors in transit so 6 out of the 8 corners will need some attention. HOWEVER in a shout out to @Racer65 , the company he uses for shipping insurance just approved a claim for the cost of the doors which should cover any body work that the paint shop will need to do. I kind of grumbled at the cost up front but $19 seems like a small price to pay now.

Sorry for the loud breathing sounds on the video. It sounds like I just came back from running around the block.

Thanks for shooting the video. I think a lot people will appreciate getting a close-up look.
UPS, FedEx and USPS basically all suck. I hope one day some smart lawyer would put together a class action lawsuit to make them accountable for the damages they cause. UPS is a little better than the other two in terms of not losing the package, but they deliberately make it nearly impossible for customers to get a claim from them. They do this by: 1) Creating a cumbersome, lengthy and slow claim process 2) Making it difficult to access customer service 3) Blaming it on the customer for insufficient packing in nearly all cases.
This is why I've gone to great lengths to put together a third party insurance scheme that's responsive and economical. They'll compensate you even if your package is stolen off of your porch. I don't make money on insurance, but every once in a while, I'd still get a hate mail (usually from a new customer) complaining that it's "sneaky" to tag on insurance.
I added the insurance to my doors but fingers crossed, I won’t need it. My Aqualu tailgate was badly damaged during shipping and no insurance, so I learned my lesson. Thanks for shooting the video. I think a lot people will appreciate getting a close-up look.

The doors are shipped in double walled cardboard boxes. The only way content can get damage is from unrestrained abuse by the carrier.I added the insurance to my doors but fingers crossed, I won’t need it. Sure, there are ways. You've now enlarged the box, added to the weight and material cost, plus additional time to pack. You may have to go freight, which will double the shipping cost. Why do customers have to do all this just so that the UPS can toss the boxes around for a service they are already overcharging for? Look at all that non-recyclable material that will get tossed as soon as the shipment is complete. You need more than cardboard. This.View attachment 2960816
