Hey everyone — I’m trying to identify these metal brackets welded to the floor just behind the front seats in my December 1979 FJ40. They’re located right behind my aftermarket driver and passenger seats on the tub floor. They have upright tabs with holes in them, almost like mounting points.
When looking at pics of OEM tubs of the same era, I'm not seeing these tabs or have yet to find a photo with them. I'm not sure if they were originally mounting points for the stock seats. The tabs are long enough that they end past the rear heater. I don't think stock mounting brackets would stretch that far back? Perhaps they are brackets that were added on by a previous owner?
