Done for the night, I’ll not do this again without a lift (I think this is a trend with me and the jobs I choose to do lol). Everything is looking much cleaner now, everything is actually silver again instead of black and caked with grease!
More photos to come!
Got the darn thing in there finally. Weather and schedule has not worked out for me to get this done like I wanted but what can ya do?
Overall if I had to do this job again I think I could do it in 4-5 hours. Maybe a little faster on a lift… but on the ground it’s a greasy nasty annoying job that I don’t ever want to do again lol I did clean up everything nice and shiny again, so a potential leak should be very easy to spot (crossing my fingers it’s all good).
Got the adjustments close enough to drive it a mile to work for an alignment, so that’s good. I was kinda worried that it might get slipped up while putting the steering shaft back on by the ol pull strap on the brake pedal trick worked great. Just glad to have finally got this done so MAYBE I can stop dipping into the mod money for repairs and maintenance heheh. Will post a follow up in a few days.
