Done for the night, I’ll not do this again without a lift (I think this is a trend with me and the jobs I choose to do lol). Everything is looking much cleaner now, everything is actually silver again instead of black and caked with grease!

More photos to come!

Got the darn thing in there finally. Weather and schedule has not worked out for me to get this done like I wanted but what can ya do?

Overall if I had to do this job again I think I could do it in 4-5 hours. Maybe a little faster on a lift… but on the ground it’s a greasy nasty annoying job that I don’t ever want to do again lol I did clean up everything nice and shiny again, so a potential leak should be very easy to spot (crossing my fingers it’s all good).

Got the adjustments close enough to drive it a mile to work for an alignment, so that’s good. I was kinda worried that it might get slipped up while putting the steering shaft back on by the ol pull strap on the brake pedal trick worked great. Just glad to have finally got this done so MAYBE I can stop dipping into the mod money for repairs and maintenance heheh. Will post a follow up in a few days.

I can’t leave things well alone. Will update the thread with pictures soon as I get these mounted!

I’m going to try these Yokohama Geolandar AT4’s in 315/75-16, they’re an E load range tire. I don’t have gears in my 100, so I may end up regretting this, but I’m keeping my mickeys too, so it won’t be too hard to swap back it if I need to. I’m assuming I’ll need to get the angle grinder and the hammer out to make them fit when flexed, and I’ll show you photos of anything I had to modify as I go.

Edit: didn’t upload all the pictures the first time

Ok we got them on today! These tires balanced out great and honestly are only about an inch taller than the mickeys were. They fit and ride great, and as for just driving around they rub on the little bump in the backside of the fender liner. Looks like to make sure it doesn’t rub badly when I go off the pavement, I’m
going to take the fender liner off and either grind the pinch weld down, or smash it flat with a hammer.

I can’t tell any discernible difference in the way that it drives/stops from the mickeys. Time will tell if it does anything different or what-have-you, I’ll keep yall updated! On another note; since there’s lots of information out there about IFS 100’s on 315/75-16’s and 35’s already, I’ll keep this short and add my 2¢. Maybe it’ll help somebody who wants to run this setup in the future.

This is how it sits with Stealth Customs F5 16x8 +10 and Yokohama geolandar A/T4 in 315/75-16 with the Ironman stage 2 gas lift. No spacers needed.

Edit: added more info

Got the 7” spots in the mail, mounted those up, and wired up the fogs on my lunch break today. Gotta finish up the heat-shrink on that tomorrow because I ran out halfway through the job. The fog lights ended up being pretty much just as bright as the headlights, if not brighter. Pleased with the outcome on the bumper overall, I’d buy another Ironman bumper for sure!

As for the spots, I have an oem style switch coming in the mail to wire those up too. The Ironman bumper came with a driving light wiring harness/kit but the switch in it isn’t the style I’d prefer, so once the other switch shows up I’ll tackle that job and post up the results. Here’s a few pictures of the LX for now with its new lights!

P.S. if anyone has a center cap for the these factory 16” Lexus wheels I’ll PayPal you $20 for it :)

Well it only took me half a year but this was a much needed upgrade/addition to the ol LX. Because I’ve been riding around with a little bit of a patched up exhaust setup for a while, I’ve gotten used to the truck being a little louder and droning on the highway. I ordered a Revel system from redline360 (highly recommend them btw if you want one of these for yourself, they had it for $90 cheaper than anywhere else), and put it on this morning. The install went smooth, though I’d certainly recommend picking up some new bolts and nuts for the y-pipe front section, and a some new donut gaskets because they do not include these in the box with the exhaust. Build quality is excellent and everything fit straight on. It gives the 4.7 a nice tone at idle, not obnoxious at all, just barely more audible than stock. But when you give it a rev it has a nice deep v8 rumble with no rasp or ricey sounds to be heard, it doesn’t drone or have any weird buzzing at any RPM’s I noticed either. Even if I didn’t need to buy this because of my patched together exhaust, I’d 100% buy this system again just for the quality and sound upgrade from stock! So if you need to replace your stock exhaust and don’t want to pay crazy money for the OEM stuff or don’t wanna buy cheaper material systems, this might be something to look into! I will post pictures of the tailpipe section and possibly a video clip if anyone is interested in that when the snow clears up.
