Engine Looks SWEET JT! I need the info on the guy that u used for the machine work as mines getting pulled out of my 40 next week. As far as hoping the engine was the big nut, i think it will probably be the smaller of the two when all is said and done unless you found some replacment parts. Rust in these pigs is like the prize in cracker jacks, you don't know what you'll get 'till you open it up:eek: Good luck, and let me know how i can help. Mike

Well my son is getting ready off to college, and it looks like the 55 is going on the sale block. he has enjoyed the pig, but is ready for a Tacoma. Between the Jasper 2f motor , 4" lift, IPOR 60 p/s, dash pad, S$R fiberglass fenders, headliner, new mirrors, weather $trip, rust repair $$, paint, and a BUNCH of other stuff i hate to think how much i have into it. I'm curious to see what the 55 guys think i could actually get for it ? Thanks, Mike.

The interior has not been touched, so to speak. The floor mat is in nice shape. New dash pad. I did install some seats out of a Mazda pu that we got at the Rising Sun rally in '06. I still have the original bench that needs recovered. The floor boards are not rusted out at all.

I got a call today from a the owner of a Toyota dealer in Texass and he wants to buy or partial trade for an '06 Taco. The pig would live in Silverthorn, Co. The price we are using is in the 13k range.

Well.......
After running the Rubicon (rubithon) with the :princess:, the wife said we should just keep the pig and make it into more of an expedition rig . A bit more room for stuff and dogs will be nice as i had the 40 loaded to the hilt.
It is sitting @ Proffitts getting new corbeou seats, re-upolstered rear seat and door panels, and maybe A/C.
The plan by CM'09 is fj 60 axles w/ARB's, SOA front, maybe linked rear, Orion, and other mods TBD.
Its nice to start thinking how to make it an all purpose expedition type rig. I'm trying to leave it all Toyota, but a 4bt cummins and h55 would be nice. I guess we'll see how it progresses.

hey mike...glad you get to keep the pig....wonder if you can tell me where you got your replacement dash pad....
thanks

I've had one in my pig for about 4 years. Nice fit, easy install. Hasn't faded or cracked in the desert sun.

I recommend it

Lucky Dawg! With the Pig at Jeramiahs, guess you'll be chasin' that C I owe you in earnest!

I'm prob. gonna come fish the upper Juan through town, maybe we can hook up

Looks stellar dude. Where you under $1000 in paint?

Materials were around $400.00. Body work, rust removal, hail damage repair, way more $$$.

Zornff,
I am new to this web site and I noticed your FJ55, can you elaborate on the current condition, and what a new owner should consider to do to continue to improve upon this "Pig". I would want to make this LC bullet proof for street driving for a family member. You have done a great job and it looks very nice, what is the condition of the mechanicals aspects, engine, trans, t-case,etc,and you mentioned that rust has reappeared, where at, and were you surprised because of all the work you put in during restoration. What is the longest distance this LC has been driven, and at what speeds.
Thanks in advance and very nice looking.
Ron
