Looking for a brake booster for 74 FJ40, or source for one. I know Cruiser Parts has them but hopefully someone on here has one they want to unload.

88 Toyota Pickup 4x4 4 cyl Booster is ~$200 at your local AutoZone.

You have to shorten the rod that goes to the pedal about 1/2" but other than that it bolts in and is readily available.

I have some 39.5 Boggers on rims for sale that I can bring up the end of this month. See the For Sale section on this forum under wheels and tires.

Thanks for all the help....What about the master cylinder, is there a replacement for it or does someone have a decent one laying around for a 74???

Any Cruiser master will bolt to the mini booster. I usually use FJ60 masters which will work w/ drums or with ft disks if you add a prop valve to the rear circuit.

I can get either FJ40 or FJ60 Aisin Masters for ~$200 each

M101A 3/4 ton trailer FS

Bought this with the idea of making it a camping unit, not for off-road but drive to site and park. However, the project is now on hold indefinately or cancelled altogether. Asking 650 and I will include the pintle reciever unit I bought to tow it with. It still has the military harness and 24-volt bulbs. Call 770 324 3622 for more info or to arrange a time to view. Thanks

I have the rear wiper motor, glass, & locking mechanism out of a 60. If you need them let me know, no charge.

I bought this cruiser about 4 years ago thinking I would have time to restore it. That hasn't happened other than a few weeks of cleaning and preserving what is there. My intentions were to restore it to the way it was when it rolled off the assembly line. As you will see by the massive amount of 55 parts I have collected for it over the past 4 years all it would take is to have someone do the body work on it, paint it and then put everything on. I consider that the easy part. Collecting the parts to do this over the past 4 years was the hard part.

What parts I have. (pretty much everything)

Front PTO with all the linkages
Stock OEM A/C I picked up from TLC
A couple sets of gutter chrome
All new weatherstripping for the tailgate
AU style brake light lenses
Rear quarter patch panels
spare early tailgate
Brass tailgate gear
Weatherstripping for all the doors
Metric TLC reproduction front seat upholstery. (The only one in existence)
Various plugs, grommets all oem all new etc...
Couple spare sets of hinges
Spare set of handle cranks
Dome lights
Tail lights
Reverse lights
Rear oem bumper
And a whole bunch of other things that have not been put on.

As far as the condition of the cruiser. It had sat in a garage unused for 20 years. It has some wear. I rebuilt the carb, replaced the plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap, points, radiator hoses, cleaned the radiator and flushed the motor, new oem water pump, new thermostat. Carb and smog pump were rebuilt by me. It has all the smog equipment on it. It has new oem vac lines. The t-case was replaced due to a crack with another 75 t-case that I rebuilt with quality parts. The gas tank was boiled lined and then coated with POR 15 on the outside. The front fenders were replaced. They are as mint as your going to find. No holes or rust. One has a slight ding in it. Front turn signals are 3 years old. All the glass is in good condition with no cracks. Weatherstripping around them is original with the chrome strips. It has all the original floor mats. Everything works on this cruiser. Lights, gauges, rear window was rebuilt and works. The engine starts and runs. It needs some tlc as it had been sitting for 20 years. The oil pan gasket was replaced. The clutch master and slave are new oem. The brake master is new oem. All the brake cylinders have been replaced along with pads and the rotors have been turned. It will stop just like it did when it was new. It has the OEM radio. It has a dash cover installed. The dash looks almost brand new. All the door panels are off and have been stored. The rear heater works

The cruiser has somewhere around 70k original miles. I've driven it maybe 30 miles in the past 4 years. Mostly around the neighborhood to keep the engine fresh. The tires have maybe 30 miles on the . They still have the nubs.

That being said it isn't without it's faults.

The exhaust from the tranny back needs to be replaced. It has rust in most of the usual places. Just not as much as most for it's age. Most all the rust has been treated and killed. The engine needs to be gone through. It runs needs a good going through.

My build is here if you would like to see what I started out with and what I have done with it.

As far as what I'll trade for it I have no idea. Throw some things out there. You never know what may stick. If I had to put a price on just the cruiser it wouldn't be more than 2k it's all the parts that come with it (PTO/, A/C, Weatherstripping, etc...) that make it valuable. If I had to sell it I'd think 4k would be a really fair price.

So tempting. I wonder if my :princess: will kill me.
