I was thinking the same thing about how much they cost. I know he paid more than $1100 for it too.

fair price, for whatch you get....

Being a gutter-mount, maybe it would fit on a 60 ;) . I don't know what sort of width adjustability it has, in case the width of the gutters on a 60 is different from an 80.

snagged NOS Conferr for da 60: still ponderin my uses, mounting options, and needs. Does hold Sceptres, hardcases, and my dog xpens: it'll find a use. :grinpimp: Might take a few years, all the better to think it through. ;)

A coworker, who was lucky to retire from the City this week, has a 1985 FJ60 she would like to sell. All I know is it has about 200K on the clock. If you are interested send me a PM and I'll forward to her.

My 944

Not really TLC related but I'm using every avenue to shed some of my stuff. My Porsche 944 is on CL (1986 Porsche 944). It was my commute car and could be for someone else. No known mechanical issues and just a few minor appearance/accessory issues but nothing big. Solid driver. $500 off asking price for HDC/TLCA members.

Sorry to hear that Greg, but this is the sign of the times ....

No tragedy here (yet, anyway) - I just want to clean up the shed. I haven't been driving this car for a long time but still paying insurance on it in case I needed to commute somewhere. Since that seems not too likely in the short term I'm trying to free up some cash. It's been a fine car I just don't need it.

Now if I found myself needing to get rid of the lotus you would find me in a dark corner of my place wimpering. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

WTB: Wire rope for winch

Finally hooked up the 8274. The wire rope is kinked, squished, a little frayed here and there. Does anyone have some 7/16 wire roper laying around from when they switched to synthetic? Wife quit her job  and now I need to conserve my money and will not be buying synthetic rope anytime soon.

Thanks.

I think we've got two steel cables sitting around. Not 100% sure about their condition, as they are both coiled up and and I haven't looked at either closely. We'll chat.

You could also see what IMSCO wants for a new cable. I'd bet it's cheaper than you think. They make them custom right there.

What Dan said. When you get into production suppliers and away from "4x4" suppliers things like winch cable gets cheap fast. You can also then get the full length for that winch which is relatively long.

The U-Pull boneyard had several 4Runners with this engine when I was there a few weeks ago. They currently show three potential candidates in inventory.

UPull Albuquerque.
