What rock did you crawl out from under Vince? ;p I was hoping you would let that thing sit quietly--I was going to offer your money back. I'm in the market for a vortec and 4l60e to mate to a split case for my troopy and I don't want to separate my h55f. If fj80404 doesn't buy it, let me know.
BTW, I hope you are doing well, haven't heard from you in ages.
Yes, the old plumlee place.
Pyro-boy i do want the T-Case, but I understand if need to sell to a old friend.
Well im not sure now, im going to build the Jerry Nickols Doubler. He told me ( i think) that i could use any 60/62 t-case. But i will double check with him. I have aquired a np203 for the doubler. I want to make sure of the 60 case. Has anyone used this combo that you know of?
Dan, do share more details on what you know about Plumlee: musta be one hell of a dude!
He was. Just before they moved and sold that place Dad visited a good bit (he had a PRISTINE power giant Power Wagon sitting there for years that Dad wanted to check out). When he moved out, the most interesting thing was that he literally never threw anything out. We're talking boxes of twine.... each piece of string from every feed sack he had ever bought. Pretty impressive his collection of "stuff."
I almost bought some metalworking stuff from him, but didn't. I wish I would have. The pan brake, shear, beverly shear and roller would be pretty handy right now....
Plumlee was there longer than I was, and I'm a native! Speaking of other old mountain stuff: the new Pete's is OK. I'll go again. But it's not the same. Pete used potatoes (it ticked our neighbor off, she thought it was "cheap filler") in most dishes (consequently, I greatly prefer my New Mexican food to have potatoes), and he was a wizard with the Sopapillas. And I was under the impression Potatoes ala Garcia would be on the menu, but they weren't. I'll still take it though, they had decent green, and the sopapillas were tasty.
Dan
