After replacing my thermostat, belts, radiator, and fan clutch my FJ62 cranks but no start. I checked EFI and IGN fuses and they’re good. I can shoot carb cleaner into intake and it fires. It was starting, running and driving without issue when pulled into garage for cooling system maintenance. Could I have disconnected something on the front of the engine that would cause this?

Hmm.
Double check that all the sensor connectors to the thermostat housing are connected correctly, and in the right spots.
Confirm fuel is getting to the intake?
There’s a EFI relay on the pass fender well that acts up on mine sometimes.

x2 on the relay.

OP, are you getting any unusual clicking from the pass fender?

Is there anyway to test this relay? Drove my 62 3 weeks ago, parked and now it won’t start. Got spark, but pulled a plug and bone dry. Figured it was the fuel pump. Try to jump the fuel pump with the diagnostic port and not pumping. Could this relay be the culprit? Trying to exhaust all possibilities before dropping the tank.

I’ve replaced the relay but still no start. I went and tested the wire going into the fuel pump and have no power. I will be checking the other relay on the passenger side kick panel next is I believe that is what comes after the relay on the passenger side fender.

I would start by working backwards from when you started your cooling maintenance. Something could have gotten accidentally disconnected. One thing to check is the fuel pump relay line that runs from behind the drivers side rear panel.

I replaced the efi main relay on the passenger side fender. I have and I have power coming out of that when the ignition is on. When the ignition is on I have no power to the fuel pump. I use the service wire between B and FP and I have power at the fuel pump and I can hear it very faintly making noise. I removed the return fuel hose and have nothing coming out with power to the fuel pump. Question is: do I have two problems?
1. No power to the fuel pump with ignition on?
2. Do I have a bad fuel pump since I hear it run but no fuel comes out the return hose?

The pump won't get power with the ignition on, as it's also waiting for the AFM to tell it that the engine is cranking. The AFM is basically an on/off switch for the fuel pump. Jumping B+ and FP bypasses both the AFM switch and the circuit opening relay, sending 12v directly to the pump from the EFI main relay.

There should be pressure in the return line if the pump is working, though. This is may seem like a dumb question, but I'll ask because it's happened to me before: are you sure there's fuel in the tank?
