FJ60 Steering Wheel upgrade

That's an early FJ60 wheel I think. I had one on my '81 BJ60. I think '81 and '82 with manual steering had this wheel.

Sorry not to hi-jack here but doing some cursory searches it appears this is similar to the late model FJ40 wheels.

FJ40 ones I see are all black however so maybe they just made a colored one for the FJ60 for a time. I always liked the 40 series wheel and considered finding one for my truck. Seems it was not a direct replacement though and there is some tweaks needed to make that work. But knowing this is available I'll be on the lookout for one. Again, sorry for the diversion. Carry on.

@ProwlerDriver

How do you like those Aussie Door Cards ?
I have the Aussie Door covers in brown and love them! Easy to install and give it a much cleaner look inside. Great exchange rate in OZ now for the US $ too

I was never a huge fan of the OEM styled fj60 one either,
I liked this lecarra but no turn signal cut off. Pretty simple and looked like it fit in the cruiser.
Found an OEM from some Japanese? cruiser on eBay the I REALLY like, and its an actual cruiser wheel so im happy.

Thought that wheel looked familiar. The Wheelskin wrap was an easy project. Like the additional thickness the leather adds to the grip of the wheel. Looks good too if you want to stick with the original wheel.

Thanks for all the help and advice here. Get the new wheel installed today and looks great!
