So that is a 1in channel on the bottom. Then the flange over the top of it with the angle pointed up. Then the top piece over and around all of that below. Thoughts are - 1in square tube: cut off one side :eek:r find a C channel : bingo channel. Con! Is that the whole channel has to come out so everything is getting cut up. I have done repairs before, but this will be the most difficult one so far. — Everything is difficult, the first time—

And that my friends is why I’m so paranoid about that area.
It had to be done, gonna cut some more rust out. I drilled all the spot welds on the bottom of the windshield, so that is one big piece. Good news is this is a non - visible spot. So it can be functionally strong and semi- pretty. This is the biggest thing I have ever tackled on the body work side of the house. I thought someone did the rust repair in this section and then raptor bed lined the area after metal and rust treatment. You know that point where you jump in and then realize the depth of the water. Yeah, definitely feeling it today.

WOW ! I give you a high five , Keep looking forward :beer::beer:

I do not recall hearing about the crayon thing, just used as a penetrant?

Wax....seems to work, but somebody going to be mad about their missing crayons.

Looks like @TachedOutOffRoad is going to miss a few flavors from his snack jar..

Yes, wax works also, I have a 6yr old and an endless supply of crayons. It wicks up the threads. I saw it on a YouTube video, works great.

I figured this topic was going to be popular!

My question - does it matter what color you use???
