VIN FJ45-22276
Brass tag by vin plate has 66 stamped so that is what we always go with but I have been told it's a 65.
Location Squaw Valley 93675
My Dad owns it and it will be a sad day when I get it however we consider it the family truck.
It is very much alive but my dad keeps putting band-aid's on it. Right now it needs the fuel take repaired correctly or a new tank.
Picture is from Surf-n-turf 2011. We have the top and doors but they are off most of the year.

Just added you to the list,you were not on the registry yet. If you have a lower windshield vent its a late 65, the vin is right when they were going to 66. I remember seeing your truck on hwy 89 20 years ago!! Glad its still alive and well.
 
Yes this truck has the lower windshield vent. My dad bought the truck from Earl Warden's place 25 years ago. I was looking for an earlier registry that the previous owners nephew replied to but I think that was back in 03. The truck had wooden side rails for years.

Thanks! I am pretty stoked it looks really stock and unmolested. It won't be here for a couple of weeks but when it does get here I'll start a thread. The main goal will be to preserve the patina.

Thanks! It's amazing how good of shape the 50 year old paint appears to be. The PO pulled it out and put rollers on it so it could be shipped to me. I think it is going to clean up nice.

HaHa Thanks Brian. I was actually second in line, and it had been over a month since I last talked to the owner. So I had given up on it, but the PO called me last Friday and ask if I was still interested. I hung up the phone and ran to the bank to wire the money :D

Nice find JP, glad I'm cured. Happy with just one pickup. Wish I could say the same of a few other models.:bang: So no road trip to pick this one up? I have a few Ramsey PTO winches but that thing looks huge. What kind of winch is it. I also guess I didn't sent a PM quick enough.:hmm:

Probably time for a mod to move all this to it's own thread instead of this one.:idea:
