FJ40 parts and year Interchangeability. (1 Viewer)

Hey everybody. I was wondering if y'all could enlighten me on which parts and what year 40's go together? I pretty much want to know about every year and their interchangeability and it doesn't matter which parts (just everything and every year in general)

I would read as much as you can in this forum. Nobody is going to want to list off every change that ever happened to the FJ40. There have been a ton of discussions on this subject over the years and you can find them using the search feature.

My memory may be bad, but I think Chamba(?) wrote up a great thread on cruiser history and the changes by year.

i have an interchange book by hollander company that gives all that info .everything you need to know is on this site you have to do a search for it.

I know 1974 parts fit perfectly on a 1974 cruiser

There are MANY interchangeable parts... It's best to be more specific at what your looking at to interchange to get better responses

I have many years of cruisers on my rig... Mostly 1964 and 1974 parts ... TONS of thing can fit multiple years some better than others and the others can go with if your good with tools
