Turns out I need I need axles; bearings and seals for my 76 FJ LandCruiser. It's been ages since I purchased any parts on line, so I was wondering who you guys are using for parts like this.
Thanks much!
Bob
do you want new or used axles? Stock or "better" axles?
I got new axles from Poly performance. Bearings and seals my first call is Cruiser Outfitters

I think $OR.com is like $300 each plus shipping for each axle. Maybe more

I had custom axle shafts made for the rear axle that I converted to full floating. You can have them made flanged or double splined like the front axle shafts it is your preference.

I looked in to getting used FJ40 full floating axles and they are very scarce here in the states so I just order a pair of flanges that we welded to axle housing and got a pair of front spindles and built it that way. I used front axle hubs and front disc brake parts to achieve 4 wheel disc braking and kept the brake drum on the rear of the split transfer case. If you go with double splined axle shafts you can either use drive flanges or lock out hubs. There are options on how to build a full floating axle.

Check in with Bay to Blue Ridge and Capital City and see what folks have if you are looking at used.

I went used on my ‘67 (ball and claw) from mark. Not sure what I’d do on the ‘78, so I’m curious what you choose.

We've got good used axles and all of the new axle parts needed to install them @ Cruiser Outfitters. We'd love to help! Info@cruiseroutfitters.com
