I will be coming down from bodega bay that morning. I might end up coming across the gg to meet with you guys. We can still do the hand off where ever. I think a caravan of fj40's across the bridge is worth the trip down! What is the address you guys are meeting at 10 in sf?

If this ever gets going again, consider Grand Junction, CO on the map.

We will meet at Fort Point at 10am. If you google map Fort Point it will come up. Here is their website - Fort Point National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service). The photo I'd like to get at Fort Point is amazing as is the one across the bridge. Weather may mess things up unfortunately.

@jocww so you don't have to drive inland so far (you're in San Ramon if I remember correctly and I'm east of the Blackhawk Plaza), we can meet at the Park and Ride in Walnut Creek off Rudgear. @CaliFJ lives in Walnut Creek so that should work out well for him to meet us there. Not sure what traffic is like on a Sunday morning but thinking we meet at 8:30am?

I do not remember who is supposed to meet me from Oregon maybe someone from Portland? I think maybe Florence was discussed. I am open to ideas if we can get some more people involved. Just trying to keep this moving forward.

When ya thinking, if i can fit into my schedule I’m all for it.

I can pick it up in Portland and take it as far as Seattle, probably in two legs as I live halfway between them.

I can get it to Roseburg if brought up to me near Grants Pass. Only a short leg I know but if it helps I'm willing to do it. Quick couple hour drive for me.

Okay NorCal 40’s here is the plan - so far weather has gotten better let’s keep our fingers crossed it stays that way. All times approximate except 10am handoff time:

8:00am - meet at Park and Ride off 680/Rudgear Road in Walnut Creek.
8:15am - depart for SF
9ish - we will drive through SF and hit up some classic tourist spots for some fun photo ops - Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, Lombard Street (I have a friend who lives a block from the crooked street who will attempt to get a photo of all of us on the street at the same time!)
10:00am - meet at Fort Point for toolbox handoff and photos. Check out each other’s cruisers.
10:30am - depart and drive across Golden Gate Bridge for lookout point on Conzelman Road. We may need to strongarm some spaces (or drive over the curb to get our 40’s and the GGB in the photo)
10:45ish - drive to Sam’s Anchor Cafe in Tiburon for brunch/lunch

That is the itinerary - should be a fun trip and showcase some iconic SF sights! And our cruisers!!!

I am in for a trip down to Roseburg for a handoff. I am in Portland, so that is ~3hr one way. I am not available these next 2 weekends, but could do Dec 3rd or Dec 10th. I will post locally and see if any others are interested.

Let me know the southern oregon plan.

Cheers.

I am away the weekend of the 8th but can possibly get the baton in Portland the 16th? Then maybe a hand off in Seattle after Christmas?

:hmm:
