my WAG is you bought this from someone and are trying to flip it for big $$'s
a couple pics show it somewhere with plastic, maybe a garage or storage, then a few more pics on a trailer at a reststop along a highway

And a 61040 cylinder head.Looks like an FJ60 2F, 4-bolt thermostat housing and dented side (pushrod gallery) cover for a big-cap dizzy.
But yeah, way too much for a 2F.
Yes. Replacement blocks often missing serial numbers. I currently have an F135 (pre-67) replacement engine in the shop with no serial number.Have y'all seen a non-existent serial number on a block before? It looks like it's mostly gone? Maybe bead blasted away?
