crack is whack!

Complete 79
New thermostat, water pump, fuel pump etc

that is not a 1979

my WAG is you bought this from someone and are trying to flip it for big $$'s
a couple pics show it somewhere with plastic, maybe a garage or storage, then a few more pics on a trailer at a reststop along a highway

you must understand that this was your first post here, just joining today, and we are all a bit skeptical, due to the lack of details

then you would know why that engine is not a 1979

from the details above, that is a very expensive thermostat, water pump and fuel pump + what the etc is
you also state complete, is there a distributor, manifolds, carb, air cleaner?

Looks like an FJ60 2F, 4-bolt thermostat housing and dented side (pushrod gallery) cover for a big-cap dizzy.

But yeah, way too much for a 2F.

And a 61040 cylinder head.

Have y'all seen a non-existent serial number on a block before? It looks like it's mostly gone? Maybe bead blasted away?

Yes. Replacement blocks often missing serial numbers. I currently have an F135 (pre-67) replacement engine in the shop with no serial number.

And a 61040 cylinder head.

winner, winner, chicken dinner
the head along with the valve cover

all the other bits can be bolted onto any 2F block
earlier fuel pump
the water pump is for an oil cooler setup, but not one on the block

funny all the openings on the right side of the block are taped but none on the left side

I would love to put a 2F in my rig. My son granaded the 1F so its sitting. I will continue looking.
