My wife nicknamed this rig "The Ultimate Recycler". MudRack agreed, but only when he got done laughing.
I really need something off of an FJ 55 to complete the entire collection on one rig. LOL

I think it would be cool to stuff an FJ55 grill and headlights between the fenders and hood of an FJ40.

Can somebody out there photoshop this idea?

Hey Dan, if you are only missing something from a '55 to complete your masterpiece, then why not try and fit the FJ55 side grills on your beast.

The truck looks sweet, really shaping up. took me two evenings after work to read the whole thread, there's just so much going on here.
Are you still looking for a hard top to have cut/modded to work on this truck? I've got one that's beat up on the driver's side (PO rolled the rig somewhere in the past) The flat upper surface is solid, but the sides need to be resealed with resin, and the gutters are junk. I can't use it, nor do I want to pay to have it rebuilt. If you're curious, let me know, I'll snap a few pics. The only price is to get it out of my folk's yard...

It is street legal now.

Parade Friday night, if I get my wiring figured out.
I have to meet some one in Gorman/Hungry Valley and teach them how to drive a stick shift.
Probably a snow run or two over the winter.
Hopefully some light wheeling around Feb 12th at the The Hammers.

On the cheap, the weatherstripping from the 80 series with the pinchwelting worked really well on my 40......I think I had it installed last time you were here. That could be your 80 series part on this rig.....I'll keep trying to think of something you could use from a 55!

I was going to suggest duct tape and Duke's of Hazzard, but I think the truck is a bit beyond window shimmy territory.
