Not sure if I missed it, but what did you do for a steering stabilizer with the bud built drag link?

So here is my list of to-dos to finish up the lift and call it done:

Lift
  • Install DIY Panhard kits for front and rear
  • Replace OEM bushings
  • Cut out 4" section on both and weld in place
  • Install new OEM Tie-rods
  • Install new draglink
  • Install OME steering damper
  • What to do with LSPV??
  • Make a small bracket for the e-brake to raise it on the diff side
  • Need to order and install front bump stops, suggestions?
  • Install rear bump stops
    • Get longer screws
  • Install new front LCA bushings
  • Install new rear LCA bolt/washer/nut (frame side)
  • Recheck torque and tightness on all bolts
    • - Rear Upper Control Arms (130ft lb)
    • - Rear Lower Control Arms (130ft lb)
    • - Sway bar ends (19ft lb)
    • - Sway bar brackets (13ft lb)
    • - Rear Lateral Control Rod- body side (130ft lb)
    • - Rear Lateral Control Rod- axle side (181ft lb)
    • - Front Sway Bar link-dogbone (76ft lb)
    • - Front Sway Bar ends (19ft lb)
    • - Front Sway Bar brackets (13ft lb)
    • - Front Leading Arm-frame side (130ft lb)
    • - Front Leading Arm- axle side (127ft lb)
    • - Front Lateral Control Rod (127ft lb both sides)
    • - Front shock top (51ft lb)
    • - Front shock lower (51ft lb)
  • Zip tie a few hoses that need to be tied back down
  • Install rear lower shock mount protector (47ft lb)
  • Alignment after its all said and done
  •
  • :grinpimp:

Edit: you forgot to add: spend time with my hot and cool wife with a nice night out for sushi in Calabasas....

;)

She's alright...I guess. :grinpimp:

New toy came in today. I can knock one more thing off the list. Perfect size for mounting where the paper clip is now. Summit Racing $70.

I'm curious about changes when you do this step:
--Replace OEM bushings

I'm sure you will be taking mental notes, I'd like to know if it helps with body roll any...there are a few circumstances when my barely lifted 80 (OME stock height springs) feels like a weeble-wobble. But I hate to start that project just for fun.

That looks purty. I wonder how much more effective that is at cooling you PS fluid?

Mine still boils in the rocks with the same cooler/OE reservoir.

Can't recall whom, but either a party to PSC or WTO said the best means to minimize is disregarding Mr. T's ATF recommendation and substituting with power steering fluid, based on a higher boiling point of the latter.

I'm still running ATF and working on Popeye-ish forearms.

Finally changing out the OEM stabilizer with the OME. Not having ball joint ends sucks. The angle is off and I can see will wear the bushing prematurely.

Also when cycling the stabilizer the cover hits the shield forcing the cover down. This doesn't feel normal.

Let's see the bracket that bolts to the crossmember.

It should point to the back of the truck...is yours backwards?

Also looks like you flipped the stabilizer the correct way.....

Rough day?

Alright, so everything worked out. I was just being dumb. I forget my Bud Built bar or else we would have finished that too. Oh well. Tie rods are in, stabilizer is in. Rear bump stops are in. Rear shock mount guards are in. Rear axle side LSPV bracket mod is in. Stops great now.
