A week or so ago, I happened to be in SLC, UT for work. I had a few hours to kill one morning before a meeting and was able to visit the Land Cruiser museum. It was awesome and the gentleman that greeted us was so knowledgeable and friendly. I could have spent all day looking and reading all about these vehicles. If you are ever in SLC and have some time to kill, you should go.

If you had mentioned having to wake the guy up, I would have known for sure it was Dan. 😁

Up until I went 3 weeks ago....I had never considered the FJ Cruiser to be a part of the Land Cruiser family. Yet ... there one sat in the museum. I've since learned it was based on the Prado frame. I'm still not a fan of it...but its a sibling.

On another front...they show a driving traversal line across the Darian Gap for the Expeditions 7 display. I don't believe it. I think some liberty was taken with that routing on the display.

The whole thing is a MUST SEE. Go!

We have driven from the Philadelphia area to the "West" at least 5 times (I need to go back and count), and if we are anywhere close, we stop by the LCHM. Our first visit was when it was back in Tooele, UT. On the trip that I provide pics below, my son and I drove to Yellowstone in February and then down for another visit at the museum, visited a friend in the Salt Lake City area, and then down to hike Angel's Landing, Flagstaff, and back home.

And yes, @cruiserdan was tending business at the front desk. The place is amazing, the diversity, years, models, and number of Cruisers - it's stunning.

I think we all have a similar story to Greg's "My Connection with Land Cruisers" story below.

60s and 62s.

55s / Iron Pigs.

Fire Trucks.

And then there is inventory of Cruisers I didn't know existed, various 7xs, custom trucks, etc.

I have a work trip to SLC March 17-19. Seem reasonable you’ll be open then?

The museum is open Monday-Saturday 8am to 5pm. I cover Wednesday-Saturday. My retirement is TBD, based on securing my successor.
