Replaced all the ball joints, outer TREs and new UCAs. Cranked to 22.625" and dialed in 2.4 degrees castor on the new alignment. Pretty happy with those numbers. I'll lower the front down to 21.75-22" once the rear bumper, cargo roost rack and aluminum storage drawers are finished up.

2.4 ??? I thought the goal was 1.4 ...

IIRC 1.8 to 3.2 degrees is the OEM range on a stock ride height/suspension (around the 19-19.5" center of hub to fender) So with me having a ~3.625" - 3.125" lift adding my UCAs and staying within OEM range makes me happy. The higher the lift the more caster is depleted.

I, like most others, want and prefer more caster on a lifted rig. It reduces torque steer, tightens steering and is more stable at highway speeds.

By lowering my front end in a few weeks I'm hoping to see the 2.8-3.5 caster range.

Aux. tank is laid out. Just waiting on a few parts to verify measurements on components.

A LONG day away from the shop in the driveway taking measurements, cutting cardboard and getting things where I want them for the new rear drawers.

Andrea and the kids were looking to buy me a set of nice drawers, but I prefer to build my own stuff... With all my spare time I need another project like I need a hole in the head... but oh well.

Will be all aluminum and come in around the 100# mark.. Not to bad for a set of rear drawers.

Sick !!!

I want some aluminum drawers! Drawing looks awesome Brother!

Now save those aux fuel tank dimensions for a water tank. No DOT regs!

Baffled water tank is doable..Just not sure how to split the neck so fuel vapor and accidental contamination doesn't occur. Maybe a Patrol dual fill neck... Two separate caps... Paint one blue or gray...

I think he was referring to the fact that some of us are not so smart, and might "accidently" put fuel in the newly installed "water" tank.

If my math is right I can put a 16 gallon water tank between my drawers and back seat.... 🤣 🤣 🤣

You know people are going to want to buy these from you now! I’d be interested in seeing these plans made for wood!

Good morning...

Replaced the chiniseum LEDs with TruckLite Military heated LEDs. Got the rack rails up and mocked up the aux fuel tank. Made some changes here and will be a 22 gallon all above the frame rails with a double bottom to act as a skid. All parts are still en route from Australia and locals. Shooting for next week on

Once I get this tank made I'll be sending the files to a tank mfg in Texas I know for quotes for production. They are DOT and CA air board certified. Dual filler neck and all other components will be built or sourced by myself.

Will you place some baffle in the tank or fuel cell foam? Will it be gravity feed or pump assist?

Yes, dual baffles and this will be a pump assist transfer that is "manual" switched until my Aussie guy finishes the "programmable" switch with auto fill and auto shutoff at programmed ranges.

Today I went away from a sump on the design as well. I loose 2" of ground clearance for one and since this is a switchable transfer I'm not ever worried about fueling on the go or the engine railing from starvation, nor should anyone.

Good! Like where this is headed. The market definitely needs options- and it looks like you have a good one in the works.
