@turbo8, where are you at with preorders, and any idea what the final cost will be? I'm looking at doing a Moab run in June and would be willing to order, but I do need something aside from the factory skids by then. Also like A10driver I have a 1" diff drop... I think the only difference to make your skids work would be an additional spacer and long bolt length on the front portion that goes around the two front diff bolts

According to this link they’ll be $1599

Thanks. I could've sworn when I checked this morning it said "$100 pre order"

As of now there have only been 3 pre orders. For me to be near the posted price on the site I'll need a minimum of 15 pre orders.
To get on the pre order list, you will need to make a $100 deposit. This separates the tire kickers from the actual buyers.

Currently, to work with diff drops everything (sub frame with skids) will need to be spaced down. Otherwise I would need to redesign the sub frame or design another engine skid that has a bulge in it, the skids would look like this, which I don't think anyone would like.

I am going tundra suspension swap, I will just delete the diff drop. Really like the skids and I never really thought the diff drop was necessary anyways

Sure, but not sure if they are really necessary. Read @Taco2Cruiser post about doing temperature testing for Budbuild. here and here

I don't mind changing things if the group all agrees on it.

Like making the front access panel larger?

I have. I idea if it’s necessary, I just know Slee did a significant amount of testing for heat dissipation when r&ding theirs.

It could be insignificant…

If you are talking about this, then yes:

There is a small plate that is directly beneath the transfer case that does not get removed with the Slee system.
What is this plate for? Mine is very rusted and looks like i should replace it. Is it Easy to do and anyone have a part number for this?

That is the stock transmission pan guard.
Part number: 5144060080

Bolts x4: 90119A0134

I'm sure you can pick one of from someone that removed theirs for pretty cheap.

Nice, thank you. Looks like a simple install?

This plate in the picture covers the tranmission and part of the TC. It is the rear-most factory skid that gets removed for the Slee system. My son was under that section and removed all the factory plates so I never got a good look at it.

You can see where the one in the picture is located in this:

There is a smaller plate that is attached to the TC covers the rear of the TC that does not get removed. It can be seen in this:

Picture from Slee of the same area with their skids installed:

Hope this helps.

Very easy install. 4x 14mm bolts. You just need to remove under engine skid first, which is 6x 12mm bolts, to make access to the front bolts for the transmission skid. The front edge of the engine skid slots into some tabs on the stock front skids.. the only mildly tricky part of the whole job.

I’ll hang out purchasing it for a little bit, if anyone has one in good condition I’ll buy it. Let me know whatcha got.
