Not OEM. It's an aftermarket that I got for $300 shipped with a lifetime warranty. I've seen guys that go OEM and have had to replace it multiple times so it did not make much sense to go original on this. If it's gonna go out anyways then I'd rather be backed with a lifetime warranty.
The steering definitely tightened up and I can see a world of difference. I cleaned everything up and today found a leak from the high pressure hose so that will get replaced this week. I'm done chasing leaks....

I installed this Blue Seas switch panel which will house off my switches for my lighting. I'm also looking at a bussman relay box to clean up all of my wiring. This will be a long term project as I hate wiring. For now, this will be filled with mostly switch blanks.
Duggy, looking at the same placement for my switches. Any chance you can get me the link for that switch panel? Nice build BTW... we are in the same town hope to meet you at some point

@savirc I think we did meet. You're Son's co-worker right? I met you at Blip workshop when my Cruiser was still silver and pretty beat up. I also ordered the OPOR lower control arms when you guys ordered the sliders

Those switches look nice. Have you used them before? I drilled holes in some factory blanks for switches but I kinda don't like it. Too much variation. Lol

Just FYI, on eBay, the Daystar Rocker switches are cheaper at $10 a piece and come labeled.
They combine shipping to if you ask.

@SUMMIT CRUISERS Jr @klinetime574 These were $14 for the pack of 5. Super cheap. If they don't work well then I'll return them to Amazon.

Ahh!! didn't recognize you or your rig! looks so different from the last time I saw it.... we need another meet. I'm looking at the Spod or this route for my switches, spod generic is $370 doing the figures on the Bussman setup and switches and looks like I would only save a little over one Benjamin going the Bussman route... not sure its worth the effort unless I can get the bussman setup cheaper. I thought about doing it my self but seems like a hassle getting all the materials just to make one module.

What's the teq badges mean. I've seen them before but don't understand it. Nice build by the way!
It's an older logo in a Japanese dialect that means 'Toyota'.
I figured it had something to do with that but wasn't sure.
No he is not, whoever bought his 100 bought everything with it. Maybe them spods will go on sale one day

So I had some bad news come upon me. The aftermarket steering rack I bought turned out to be no good. Unfortunately, when I would turn left it would skip a gear or strip a thread internally and eventually I would run out of turns turning left. This is bad news if I would have left for the trip to Arkansas. I called the auto parts dealer and they said they would refund me so I have an OEM rack from Camelback Toyota parts overnighted to me which should arrive today.
One upside to this is that I've gotten the rack removal down to a science. I had the faulty rack out in about an hour.

It is always worth it to go OEM, peace of mind is priceless. Imagine that "skip gear" incident happen in the middle of your trip, that would be bad. Glad you have it sort out!!

Glad you found the issue early. I tried aftermarket rack a few years ago. Ended up replacing within a year. Not worth it. OEM for sure on the steering rack.
