This project has been about 5 years in the making. I wanted a daily driver 45 since i sold my 40 years ago.
It started with buying just a 45 tub from another guy and friend off of the board.
Over the last 5 years, i have bought, parted, sold, and traded various 40's and parts to get to where I am today.
So here it goes....
THE PLAN:
Frame:
I built the 45 frame last spring from a 40 series frame, similiar to Medusa's.
f150 rear springs, bj70 rears up front. About 103" WB
(frame pics posted tomorrow or the next day...they are at work)
Drivetrain:
Rebuilt 350 fuel injected, rebuilt th400, rebuilt 3 speed tcase.
Totally rebuilt axles with new birfs, brakes, thirds etc.
Body:
Hopefully no rust, and a LWB bobbed box.

to have a 45 tub like that to start with. Good time to practice those body skillz. Daily driver eh? 
Dump the 400 it's way overkill - you're prolly gonna need an O.D. tranny w/ the 4.10's. What size tires you runnin? Any chance there's gonna be some tubework on this DD'er?
