Vancouver eh?
hey all.

This project has been about 5 years in the making. I wanted a daily driver 45 since i sold my 40 years ago.

It started with buying just a 45 tub from another guy and friend off of the board.

Over the last 5 years, i have bought, parted, sold, and traded various 40's and parts to get to where I am today.

So here it goes....

THE PLAN:

Frame:

I built the 45 frame last spring from a 40 series frame, similiar to Medusa's.
f150 rear springs, bj70 rears up front. About 103" WB

(frame pics posted tomorrow or the next day...they are at work)

Drivetrain:

Rebuilt 350 fuel injected, rebuilt th400, rebuilt 3 speed tcase.
Totally rebuilt axles with new birfs, brakes, thirds etc.

Body:

Hopefully no rust, and a LWB bobbed box.

Lots of pics and info to come. Enjoy!

Doesn't look like your afraid to tackle rust. Nope. Looking forward to the progress!

I'd be :bounce: to have a 45 tub like that to start with. Good time to practice those body skillz. Daily driver eh? Dump the 400 it's way overkill - you're prolly gonna need an O.D. tranny w/ the 4.10's. What size tires you runnin? Any chance there's gonna be some tubework on this DD'er?

more pics later....

I will be running (cause i already have them) 33"x12.5" yoko geolander at's.

We will see how far I get with the body next week......

frame looks good, but if you need an LV frame let me know, It think it will take out any guesswork and I have one laying around.

LOL!

I get called a student more than not. I teach metalwork, but most of my students look older than me. I can barely grow a patchy beard to separate my self.

Don't worry, I am 26 :)

Floor almost finished. When I buy new rockers, I will cut new pieces.

Just need to patch a couple little holes.

got some panels made and tacked in. My work has 8' a 60,000 lbs press brake. Was easy to whip these up.
