Cool off at Boug's pool after the ride
Been some mahvelous weather here in SD. Did a road/gravel around Lake Hodges.
Hell yeah, I rode today! Did the 8.3 miler and felt like Superman. Railing corners, taking no prisoners!
I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather, the spinning or planets aligning, but I’ll take it!

On the trail at 0445 this morning to beat the heat. Have only been back on the bike for 3 weeks after having heart surgery mid May. Having had to deal with a collapsed lung, pneumonia and a lung infection post op slowed me down a bit but feeling good now and ready to back at it. Life can throw some curveballs.

2 days of riding over the weekend, 1st ride somehow didn't record. Decided to go for a little elevation gain at a local trail ( Bobcat ridge) for a early ride in the morning smoke.

They finally reopened the F1 track. Sundays and Tuesdays 6-8pm are for cycling. Just the nudge I needed to get back on the bike.
Knocked out 5 laps. It was 38c and a 12knot breeze coming in from the north.

Hit a trail south of Breckenridge after work. Uphill started pretty meh, lots of old mines and the last bit of downhill was pretty fun. I do need more rocks tho.

I’m stoked that the city of Tucson is building a velodrome for riding. Round and round we go!
just got back from a road trip through the canadian rockies. i got to do some excellent trials and got to do some fishing too rode some trails in bragg creek (which i posted earlier) and then some on revelstoke BC and one ride on rock creek BC. caught some west slope cutthroats in two different rivers. skunked on bull trout on the columbia and only one little rainbow on the st mary river. such great times. biking fishing and family. couldn’t ask for more!!
also bought new tires for the kids bikes and just ordered a new cassette and chain for mine!!

Rode 15.5 miles today. Rode one of my normal loops, but tacked on a couple old trails, too. A couple I probably hadn’t been on since 2019. A good, hard ride, all in.

Nice, I had planned a dip into the Canadian Rockies for a week this summer and ran short on time. Can’t wait to get up and check it out.
Drove to the dirt pile a few miles away and rode out back on the rocks again. Some more vertical.
Riding in Tahoe this week.
After 13 stressful days off, I rode a little under 20 miles of trails this evening. 2 wrecks (both otb), 2 near wrecks, lots of slow to go with all the no skills, and all I wanted to do the whole ride was get off and lay down in the grass with the ticks to take a nap. And then my "last mile" was putting the bike on the stand to straighten the derailleur hanger that got tweaked on one of the crashes. But i still wouldn't trade a couple bumbling hours pedaling in da weeds for much else.

Got 21 miles in this weekend. Lots of construction nearby, unfortunately. Though, I couldn't help getting a pic of my bike in front of this gigantic John Deere.
Got out a little later then I wanted today, so it was getting hot. Haven't been on the hardtail for quite awhile. And was really wanting to ride her, felt great to put some miles in.
20 technical rocky root-y miles last night, followed by parking lot shenanigans. Including this guy
