The spider kit in box is for driveshaft as Onur informed. I didn't open, otherwise I could've avoided the dumb question.

Going to see what I have, since Ige insinuated that I'm missing something to pull locker and replace with spiders on hand.

IIRC, she was talking 'bout the washers that go with your spider gears.

If the '76 springs are decent, just run new bushings..

Hmmmmm.......

Pig springs will clear a 33x10.5.

Hmmmmmm.........

I don't know if I should be glad that 34-35s aren't common in a 15" pizza cutter, or to consider it a challenge.

I don't recall ever measuring the 33" KM2s, but know that ALL other sizes of KM2s I've ran are substantially smaller mounted, than the sidewall states.

Maybe 1.5" lift and 35s?

Cheap OD?

Bahahaha.

And yes, I do like those wheels. I am running the same on my 40.

I do, too. They're staying, for sure, even though I do like an OE look. They just seem to go.

If I wasn't so dang wordy, it'd been easier for me to find.

Thanks for the reminder.

My other dumb question of the day.

What's this for?

image-4123148423.jpg

Best I can tell, maybe it used to dim lights, but it's been hacked and doesn't function for anything.....unless there's a flux capacitor I've yet to locate.

#1...Yes

#2...If you can turn the knob almost full circle and not just on & off, then yes Flux Capacitor. They need to be brought up to speed slowly. Don't want to burn that up! :)

Air Conditioner baby!
Do you have the other components?

if yes, then yes, those.

Cool.

Noted.

Wish I could travel back in time to change billions of errors, but OT, to reiterate in BOLD CAP letters that the title was fine as it was.

Was AC a dealer option in 76?

I do not believe I have any other components but sure going to hope I missed. The wiring dead ends above dash, tangled in the gauge wiring.

If none are present, since the switch is there, guess it could still fall into "period correct" form, even though not a strict adherence on this build, eh?

Yes, I know of another '76 that had factory ND air. I had claim on the interior piece, and it slipped away from me...

My '74 has a similar knob to that.
I think the biggest piece you would want/need is the evaporator, located inside the interior duct work, along with the expansion valve, as those have some specific fit requirements.
The condensor can be sourced new, in a more efficient design for r134a. You want new barrier hose as well, and new drier.

Does it have a compressor? Or at least mount for compressor?

I don't know about the parts you listed as for specific, but too can guarantee I will soon, and be on the hint for whatever I don't have.

Would this be where a compressor would've mounted, or smog equipment?

(Lower bracket in pic)

I assumed smog, but assume starts with a-s-s, so....

Edited: know that's the pump, so I don't think accommodation for the compressor are still there. I'm perusing pics, since wont be back at 76 until tomorrow.

I am so beyond frustrated that I can't get started on this, it's killing me.

I got this on the shelf. I'm going aftermarket.

What's "this"?

Something that PC is describing?

Or am I to read between the lines in the aftermarket?

Hahaha.

Heck, I thought I had some fancy light dimmer switch (I really didn't put a lot of though into that, by the way. I'm trying hard to not grow too attached, since I still don't have a friggin' title and haven't spent a lot of time with) and now I have the makings for AC, so I'm clueless.....as usual.

Yeah, that's what Pablo is talking about. It's one of the harder pieces to find.

Hope that title thing works out for you.

t's one of the harder pieces to find.

Ron,

I can't think of anything to trade except Benjamins.

About all I have of value is some uber rare, 6 of a kind known on existence, coarse spline Aisin hubs, but they're worthless to you too.

That said, if that's what I need for AC, I'm interested, if you are in selling.

That bracket is for the smog junk Chris.

No more perfect a place for a compressor, right?

Pablo,

I really don't know. It came with the SLOW 71. PO had collected alot of parts, like this, getting ready for the build and never got that far.

Can you tell by serial numbers?
