Thanks, Monty.

I was going to PM and say I'd bow out since you were local, but saw you already did and figured it was the Smog/Tag fees.

Guess there's no family secrets here in the Sty.... Hahaha. (Wasn't keeping any, just waiting to finalize)

She's going to be on her way to Oklahoma soon.

I'd like this to be a rite of passage purchase and pay my dues by flying out, sight unseen, with no more than a toolbox, IPhone, and this forum, but it wasn't in the cards, plus it's across the hottest part of the country with no AC.

Guess I'll have to get another one for that. Hahahaha.

Anyhow, deals done and I'm stoked to have a Pig to drive while all the other work is going on through the next year.

Already have plans, already have parts for some, ideas on others, but the main thing is, I can drive it right now, as is.

You know me, it's all about the lineage, so glad the info was forthcoming.

Really my only plans, as of yet, are swapping the steering wheel, bench seat, and sealing her up, wherever leaking. OE wheels and caps, so on.

Inevitably, the Holley will go in favor of OE-ish, but maybe other minor motor mods, keeping the 2F block, since original.

Clean her up and drive her, short of that, it's like all my other projects, there's no guarantees.

Congrats! Put me inline for your (unwanted) bench seat

Congratulations! You are now a hoarder. :)

Just now a hoarder?

I feel better since I was worried much earlier than this.

Won't feel so bad about keeping the 71 parts pig then. Hahahaha.

Congrats! Put me inline for your (unwanted) bench seat

What's unwanted are the buckets piped in red...

So swapping a bench in, those out.

C'mon an git ya sum buckets!! Haha.

I honored my deal to Muddawg on the seat covers purchased from the odd ad, but at his tire quest opened the boxes from SOR and they were very nice.

Don't know the quality of the foam, but the seat covers were sharp.

But I could almost buy another Pig for what it'll cost me to do both of mine, so going to research local options and Metrics offerings, too.

There's a 74, I think, for sale now with F250 front buckets that have shoulder belts built in that looked pretty sharp, though. Plus the IPOR buckets aren't priced that high compared to recovering bench.

Decisions, decisions.

I like the simple restorations, since less to be made.

If I wind up with spare bench it's yours.

Your bumper shipped to the 'Sty, by the way.

Good job for saving the PIG. C O N G R A T S !!!

monty

Thanks!!

Hoping the Pig saves me, a stop gap measure to see all the other prefects through.

Going to try to keep it at these three, as I hope the 71 will be maintained as a rolling shell (after everyone is done) to be the wheeling Pig.

It's only right, right?

The Three Little Pigs can't work with only two....

New Piggy

Congratulations on what looks like it will be a great stock daily driver! Best of luck with it. Curious as to what shipper you'll use to get it from wherever to your place. gary S

Everybody knows " normal " people only have two pigs. :)

I'm far from normal if I had no pigs, so all good there.

Thanks. Looking forward to a runner, to say the least.

On the 72, I wanted to take Pighead's advice and drive it while getting familiar with, but too much to do and keep complete.

So all the credit on this to Pighead.

Aaron Frost at Summit is handling shipping. I've worked with him before, as have many Mudders, so I know what to expect.

He was higher than others, but worth it considering he works with seller coordinating with drivers and have nothing further to worry with........plus I've got his cell. Haha.

Mentone is off the grid of normal routes, which had bearing on price, too, and Aaron is a Mudder,

Nice 55.

Is that tie-rod bent?

Thanks.

Is that tie-rod bent?

Yes, but we fixed it already.....

image-4108172307.jpg

Edited: Does appear.

Have one straighter out of two from the 72, since 71 looks worse than that, plus new rods coming for 72.

Power steering you think?

Lay it on me and don't hold back on the rest of it.

Considering my track record, this looks like a beauty.

Delancy,
My bad. I thought you were getting rid of stock bench seats. I am trying to avoid at all cost buying the SOR upholstery kits. I've bought a Pig for less than the cost of one if those sets. I really want the OEM vinyl look, but may have to settle for the Tuff Duck covers.

Thanks for sending the bumper!

The man is possessed with the Pig. :)

Congrats again Chris. We need a wrenching weekend in OK sometime.

;)

Have fun on the beach dude and hopefully the "chill" will wear off! ;)

No worries on bumper.

You can have all the red piping you'd like, too.

I hope to beat SORs cost on seat kits, though they are very nice.

I have a hard time believing the are worth more than Shane's leathers I have in the PP80, which are top notch.

I do have some issues, but stopping here.

No doubt. Still have a couple days worth on the 80 swapping TREs, studs, trimming wheel studs back, not including the

It wore a little last night.....enough to condensate on the outer surface....
