Mission accomplished.
Da'40 was titled in September 2003.![]()
Correction Steve. We're coming up on 6 years for the build.![]()
And it will be rolling and tagged before then. Thbbbt.![]()
Are we taking bets?
Very nice, you might just make your deadline... Daisy
Gotta plate on it yet?![]()
Also, not to be an idiot, but how about a translation for "TOROTE"?
I love how right near the end of a build it really starts rolling! mine went this way too. the problem is, as you get more motivated and work faster, the $ end piles up faster too!
sweet Jon, looking forward to you driving that thing soon.![]()
Engine's in! Thanks Dan!
Interesting that you chose to run a cat. Not at all required for a 1969 frame.
john that t-case is too dirty for the rest of the rig, you better pull it and soda blast it.![]()

wasn't it you who talked about not even painting the tub since it is a trail rig?
I'm not going to lie. I was tempted to offer to take the plate off the back of the T-case to powder coat it with the other stuff... Bling bling!
Dan
I had the same idea. Blue to match the engine?
Several reasons.
1. I don't think modern cats suffer engine performance.
2. They do work as a muffler.
3. I hate stinky tail pipes, especially when I'm behind it.
4. I have some green in me.
5. It's the responsible thing to do.
The body should be ready for pickup next week. I will need about four guys to help get the body off the trailer and onto the frame. Would anybody be available the weekend of July 18/19 to help?
Right now it's looking like 1pm Saturday, with Sunday as a possibility.
Also, Da'40 is insured, registered and, yes Dan, it does have a plate.
