Holy cow! What's the diameter of that 37 spline shaft?![]()
37 spline vs 30 spline
OVERKILL................................Its still 24/48 pitch. Overall od is like 1.58. Minor diameter is where the strength comes from. Thats in the 1.4s compared to 1.3s for 35 spline
Its literally solely so I can get out of the garage...
Mid-arm 3-link w/ panhard? Will you be making a thread detailing your work at some point?
Is that a picture of Grave Digger's front axle? Holy smokes.
Mid arm? Its just a standard 3 link. Not sure what a midarm is.Mid-arm 3-link w/ panhard? Will you be making a thread detailing your work at some point?
Its super noisy but works like a charm. Winch was 55 bucks. Total cost was like 90 after synth winch line and wires and crapThank you Sir! You just inadvertently solved my own problem. Moved into a new house and found out this last week that my 80 sits 1" taller than the header on my garage door. had to add approx 500 lbs of weight just to get it in the garage. Later when empty, barely snuck out with 200 lbs of weight and the rear tires deflated to 5psi... I've been thinking "this is going to get old in a hurry". But seeing your suck-down system makes me think this is probably the most cost effective solution. Thanks @nukegoat![]()
Lxnasty may get some of money since im getting lazy and hes got some trick mounty things
Seems appropriate.I'm liking LXNasty![]()

Yes totally. I had like 5 inches of interference when backing inWAY cheaper than raising the header on the garage and buying a new door. And worth every penny compared to airing down (or loading ballast) every time I want to drive in or out of the garage!
I'm very interested to see, even though I would never do the same. I love geeking out and seeing other peoples unique projects though. And probably not unless people really ask for it. Not being cagey but its hours of picture curation and detail and most don't intend to follow suit so its not usually interesting to people
Fits fine if you dont have a spare there - I welded the tube to tabs welded to my bumper so I can remove it all but you could just as easily weld to a frame rail. Seems to slot in right next to the frame just fine. I imagine this will work fine on stock rear axles too. Performance wise it feels a teeny bit more rigid than the OE bar at its stiffest setting and about 75% of the OE bar at its loosest. The math supports those numbers. I paid $400 for the universal kit from Summit - 50" length and 1" diameter.

Because sway bars are just a torsion spring with a rate. Different wheel rates and vehicle cg and spring rates and suspension geometries will require one to rely on engineering and math, not universal fitment guidelines from the manufacturer that assume most of those parameters. Why did you not use the sway bar adjustment guidelines of the arm level at mid travel?
