I always look forward to your product development introductions and step-by
That really means a lot my friend! As you might know, this isn’t my day job - I already got one of those! - but like most things in my life, why go halfway? Why get into this at all if I’m just going to pump out crappy products and treat people poorly? That’s no fun for anybody. Compliments like these really keep me going though, so thanks again.

Regarding the Fire Extinguisher Brackets: I have only gotten the 81-84 bracket dialed in. The 85-87 and 88-90 options on the website are placeholders for when those are ready. I should have been more clear on that! It’s also currently functioning as a way to make sure people with 85-90 trucks don’t buy one only to find out it doesn’t fit - it’s sort of a “stop and check” device.

The 85-87 and 88-90 brackets won’t take a whole redesign though, it’s only the mounting tabs that will change, which means the turnaround on that will be relatively quick. I measured an 87 60 this past weekend and have already sent a drawing off to be prototyped. I’ve been playing text tag with a guy in the neighborhood who has a 62 as well. So far we haven’t been able to connect, but that will happen soon. So the other variants are coming, don’t worry!

@RevISK Don’t you have bigger fish to fry right now?? 🤣

Oh yeah, filling the pot with oil from many generous sources. Getting shockingly close.

Just had to use your awesome honorific, Mr. Trash.

You’ll get there man. If I was closer I’d come turn a few wrenches … or at the very least sit in a chair and occasionally throw wrenches at you and call it “supervising”.

It’s technically downhill from you to me.
Start hucking.

I appreciate everyone, it’s almost overwhelming.

Your extinguisher/magazine rack will live in my truck eventually, but I want a special edition logo heavy version. 😘

Fire extinguisher brackets are live. These are currently ONLY for 1981-1984 vehicles. Make sure your front seat bolts are horizontally across from each other and not offset. If in doubt please use the email form at the bottom of the home page on my website to contact me with a photo.

If the intention is to ever sell these welded up, would a drain hole be a noteworthy suggestion? 😅

I will not be welding them. The sidewalls of the junk drawer are plenty strong enough to not get bent, and the gap at the corners serves as a way for liquid to escape.

I don’t know if you’re like me, but it’s only a matter of time before I dump a cup of coffee into the thing. I have some cup holder ideas for the 60 … I should get back to that.

the fire extinguisher mounts a go yet? Need to snag one!
Yes, 1981-1984 60 Series Fire Extinguisher brackets are ready and live: you can buy one here. These are for trucks that have the two front seat mounting bolts horizontal from each other.

1985-1987 60 Series bracket protoype should be in my hands next week. These have mounting bolts that are offset in height. I have an appointment to meet a local guy with an FJ62 tomorrow, so I will see if that has different mounting than 81-84 & 85-87, and if so I'll measure it and get a prototype rolling. Like I said above, the design work is minimal - the basic design is the same, I just had to move a single mounting tab (at least on the 85-87). "Redesign" turn around is quick in other words. We'll see what needs to be done on the 62.

If you need any follow up measurements on a 62, mine is just doing nothing right now.
For some reason.

Thanks @OGBeno -san!

Ian, it's kind of a long drive for a test fit don't you think? I'm still working on your special version with the extra large logo anyway.

I’m pretty good with a measuring tape, I even know what most of the lines mean!

If you’re stuck for a measurement or something needs double checking I’m happy to.

I want my magazine/extinguisher rack to be made strictly of a CruiserTrash™️ logo.

I mean, if the truck is nearby I’d take a photo!

And yes, I will be making yours entirely of logos. 100% logo, no filler.

Good news all around:

The 62 Fire Extinguisher Bracket fits the same as the 85-87 60. That means two variants rather than three. Since I have a prototype of the 85-87 on the way already, that means the 62 bracket will come on line just as soon.

I’ve also found THE SPOT for the 62 Fusible Link Replacement Kit. It will also be a viable spot for 60s with engine swaps that require more than three main fuses. Next up is returning to the research I did on connectors and getting those ordered.

Can’t wait to see where you put it ;)

Can't wait for these Fusible link kits, definitely will be putting in an order for one as soon as it hits the website!

Thanks! It'll still be a bit of a wait getting all the details worked out, but the wheels are more fully in motion now. It really took getting together with a 62 guy and diving into it for an hour. It also helped that I had a few fuse box options on hand for test placement.

1985-1990 Fire Extinguisher Brackets are live! I sent off a run to fab today so shipping ETA is end of next week.

Important note in deciding between the 81-84 and 85-90 variants: it’s entirely dependent upon the seat bolt closest to the driver’s door. If the two front seat bolts are horizontally even with each other, that’s 81-84. If the seat bolt by the driver’s door is lower than the one next to the transmission tunnel, that’s the 85-90. By far the seat bolts align with those year ranges, but I’m already seeing a few outliers. So order based on your seat bolt arrangement - I’ve made a bit of this in the product description.

No major news, but I did pick up some new stickers from my local printer today. He happens to be a 60 Series guy, so if you need stickers made by “one of our own” let me know and I’ll put you in touch.
