It was 100% specifically designed for the driver side because seconds matter when there’s an emergency. Just putting that out there. If y’all wanna put it on the passenger side it’s going to be a little bit of a DIY project. I will say you might end up needing longer bolts that thread into the seat fastener holes, as well as some round metal spacers, like hollow steel rounds. I can’t re-engineer it for ya because I truly believe it belongs closer to the driver, but those are my tips if you want to go “off-label” with it!

And you're right, best and safest spot is under one's butt. I currently have a HALON extinguisher strapped 'under' the front driver's, but have to open the door to get to it. Of course, there may be situations where that's not possible, so it will get moved to a more quickly accessible spot with the help of your bracket. If it's adaptable to the passenger side without too much trouble, then I'll get another. If it's too much DIY, then I'll just stick the other extinguisher under the passenger seat since I've removed the rear heater.
As mentioned, since I rarely have anyone in the passenger seat, I kind of want to use that footwell space for stuff that I can just lean over and grab or easily unlatch, and can't have too many fire extinguishers or tools !

I have a Halon extinguisher mounted using this mount and it’s great. Having been in my race car and having it catch on fire on track, I can say that having the extinguisher right next to me saved my car. For us off roaders, having the ability to extinguish a fire in the engine bay or worse, under our trucks due to dry brush etc provides great piece of mind. If you can afford halon, it’s a nice option as it doesn’t leave a mess and works on multiple fuel sources.
What size of a Halon Extinguisher will fit in the mount?

A 2.5” diameter bottle fits best. For length, measure from the transmission hump just above the seat mounting bolt over towards the door. A really long bottle might technically fit, but Wheat her or Nora it’s cumbersome or in the way of you getting into and out of the truck is up to you!
If these can be adapted to fit on the "passenger" side I may pick one up since mine is a right hand drive.

The transmission tunnel is probably going to be an issue. Fitment might depend on your dexterity with an angle grinder … or you could make spacers for the bolt holes. Just a metal plate with two holes. It would take some tinkering for sure.
Copy that. Probably worth the tinkering to have the extinguisher that close. I'll get one ordered this weekend!

Wiring subharnesses will be in production within the week. First batch of fuse boxes and brackets are on hand. Working out a small issue with a connector, but I think that’s been solved. Just gotta make the stuff. Most of the first batch is going to a couple of bulk orders - this gives me valuable feedback from people who see a lot of Land Cruisers come their way. There shouldn’t be any issues at that point, but if there are I’ll get honest feedback. One prototype is already up and running successfully, too.

I actually stopped by this thread to post something that I already did on Instagram:
I’ve so far been swallowing cost increases across the board this year. Costs go up over time, inflation and all that, but the hikes this year have been large. The 60 FLRK has seen the most cost increases so far, and a new increase came at me a couple weeks ago that was the final straw. Unfortunately I have to raise the price. It’s a modest bump from $230 to $245, just shy of 7%, which is less than my total cost increases.
I don’t like doing this. I’m not in this to get rich either - I have a day job that supports me. But there has to be a little meat on the bone for my time and effort. I hope y’all understand.
The cost increase will go into effect Sunday night, probably at whatever time I’m sitting on the couch winding down for the day. Evening some time. If you want a 60 FLRK for $230 you have until then.
I also posted on IG that I will not keep the cost the same or lower it by using inferior parts. You don’t want to receive junk. You don’t want the product to fail. I don’t want to deal with rectifying disappointing experiences. s***ty parts are harder to assemble as well. Keep it quality and let it cost what it’s gonna cost. That’s it.
I have also discontinued the “basic” 60 FLRK. I really haven’t sold many of them, and there truly is a significant benefit to the “Upgraded” kit with the larger alternator cable.
