"Kabin" at the KOA. I've been pleased there the last couple of years.

I know the cotton can be a pain, but you miss a lot not being at Slickrock.

All right, time to bump this thread alive again. We've got Moab coming up soon. Wednesday, April 30 will be the travel day for me. When are others heading up?

I will likely plan an early morning departure (maybe 7:30-ish) to allow for getting to the inspection by 3:00 or so. Last year, I was pushing the limits and then ran into road construction outside of Moab which slowed me down even more. I think I got there at 4:55 and they were only supposed to be open until 5:00. I'd like to allow a couple of extra hours this time.

I think the route that takes I-40 to Gallup and then north through Shiprock seems a quick and easy way (I know Jon has also used that route), but I would consider heading up 550 if others are heading up at the same time.

I hope we'll see trail assignments soon. Looking forward to it! :bounce:

Evan...the I-40 to Gallup then up 666 is a great route. That is the way I went last year.

If you are interested, I will also be leaving Weds. the 30th, but I will part ways with you near Mesa Verde as I will be meeting up with Ali's expedition group in Northern Arizona...I think Rory is heading up that day as well so we can have a reasonably decent sized group heading up....

Sound good?

Nice to see you on Monday by the way! ;)

Ditto, though maybe earlier cuz my junk goes slow.

Ditto. If there are folks going up 550 with HAM I wouldn't mind trying to play a bit.

Hot off the digital press! The first two are new to me. I've done Metal Masher several times. I thought I signed up for Fins on Saturday. I guess I screwed up.

Trail Assignments

Thurs: Steel Bender
Fri: Cliff Hanger
Sat: Metal Masher

EDIT: I have a Kabin at the KOA.

Here are my trails:

Trail Assignments
Thurs ..... Fri ..... Sat
Behind the Rocks ..... Moab Rim ..... Metal Masher

So I'll be running with Jon on Saturday. I've never done Metal Masher before. I'm psyched to go. I got all my first choices. Behind the Rocks was such a blast with our crew last October that I decided to try it again - but maybe I'll pass on "High Dive" this time! We also started Moab Rim last year with part of our group, but ran out of time, so I'm looking forward to doing the full trail this time.

Glad to hear that Onur (and maybe Jon & Rory) would be interested to head to Gallup and up through Shiprock. I will tentatively plan to leave my house in the mountains at 7:00 AM, and meet up with whoever in Abq and hit the road by 7:30. That should give us plenty of time to get up there.

Can't wait! (Except for all the stuff that needs to be done on the Cruiser list - oh well, that will keep me occupied in the meantime.)

Mike--are you going to be doing "outlaw" runs?

;)

I assume you will be at the dinner/raffle on Friday night right?

Onur, see me at CM before you buy a dinner ticket.

I'm too old to try to dodge-the-law. Besides, Ken knows who I am and he would sit on me if I tried to pull a fast one.

I will be at everything. All official events. All un-official events that I know about. Wednesday check-in & inspection. First one at the meeting spot every day. The dinner on Friday. All the driver meetings.

I'll be at everything except the drunken orgy on Saturday night.

I love Cruise Moab. :D :D

I can't believe you'd miss the drunken orgy!
