Hey Ken, when will I get my trail assignments?
-Mike-

Hot off the e-mail press! (Thanks Ken)

Thursday: Steel Bender (Jon is on this one)
Friday: Porcupine Rim
Saturday: Fins & Things (Ken is leading)

No runs with Evan this year.

Does anyone know what day will a group hit the Golden Spike trail and what is the departure time? I want to make sure to avoid it on that day.

Ali,
I'm sure there will be a CM run on Spike and Gold Bar rim every day. Departure times are usually 9am except for E-Hill which leaves early due to the long drive.

They usually don't run Golden Spike on Friday because of the raffle. There were a few years where they didn't get off the trail till after dark and people missed it. It will be run Thursday and Saturday though. It usually leaves an hour (8:00) earlier than everyone else because of the length.
If your not going to the raffle Friday would be your best bet. You'd probably still make the raffle if you didn't have any trouble.

Thursday -- Golden Spike
Friday -- Hells Revenge
Sat -- Moab Rim

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I'll aim for a Friday run.

Jon and I will be at cabins at the KOA - we won't know the unit numbers until we get there. Just look for the built Toyotas!

The question was aimed at the Slickrock campers primarily. Other than Dan, I don't know who else stays at Slickrock campground from HDC.

most everybody. that's the best part of cm. i wake up early when camping, so i like to get out and walk around and check out the rigs. then, after wheeling, you campsite hop. btw, #180. best spot, right behind the inspection tents, so i can wake up, and sit and eat breakfast while watching everyone go through tech inspection.

CM Ham Frequencies

I just saw this list over at Rising Sun: CM Ham Frequencies. This links to a Word document.

We are in one of the pull-throughs, IIRC #39. My wife's sister is joining us and bringing her camper so with that and 2 80s we need the space.

Ash, myself, and the Chicago contingent (Chitown40 and Rover Ray) will be taking up an RV spot near the back corner of Slickrock for Friday night....

I doubt I will be sleeping there though if Romer has stogies, the NorCal guys are cooking and drinking, and if Semlin wants his bottle of bourbon....

:D

The caravan(s) are leaving one week from today!

Not that I'm counting or anything...

Looks like I got spot #135 (double tent spot).

Well, that should be enough for us. I'll be sleeping on the roof as usual....

Or under the truck depending on how much liquor is in you :flipoff2:
