Jody if you can support your local distilleries. Not sure if there’s one up your way, but I went to Thistle Finch over in Lancaster last week and they were very appreciative of the business. They are also now making hand sanitizer, so my purchase almost felt like a charitable donation!

Last I knew you couldn't ship alcohol in the mail to anyplace other then a liquor store in PA. I wonder if there could be a surge in Moonshine as a result of all this.

In NJ you can get 95% Everclear. Dunno about PA. It's pretty much Moonshine with a brand name. Will definitely clean anything living off your hands. And take some skin probably.

Paycheck Protection Program Looks Like A Very Sweet Deal For Employers

The part of the CARES Act that has me most excited for small and not so small business is the Paycheck Protection Program.

While this wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my weekend, it looks like it will be a good deal and very helpful to many small businesses. So maybe I won't have to fire sale all 3.33 of my Land Cruisers after all!

Masonic Village is closing all entrances effective tomorrow (Monday). They're parking security people there to screen everyone who shows up. No guests, no family, no visitors allowed, only employees and pre-approved vendors. There's Covid-19 in Lancaster General a few miles east of here, at the Hershey Medical Center a few miles NW of here, and in Dauphin County, so it's in the neighborhood. We stay in our apartment 24/7 except to check the mail every couple of days. We're prepared to be here for the long haul.

Stay safe, everyone, but enjoy life without endangering yourself or your loved ones.

So the nursing home where my wife works has it now. She administered the first test performed at the home last week, we have not heard anything about the results...

Then just now I see a news article - the home where she works! I am very angry that this place has not communicated anything to employees! I am not sure I want her going back if they are going to be shady about things!

Yeah, lack of transparency should be very concerning. I'd ask her to stay home, but it's ultimately her decision.

She is desperately needed, but at what point does she jeopardize herself, and her family? It's a tough call.

I think it will be a long haul. My wife has been using some video conferencing app to stay connected to her small group of friends. Zoom seems to be the popular one. Maybe you should check it out, so you can chat with your kids, etc. We facetimed my mom, the other night. She's in NJ and on lockdown. I imagine they will shortly implement the same rules in her community, as they are in yours, Vince.
