No, he said it's a 240SX, better known on the drift circuit as an S13 Silvia.
Quit attempting to be a know it all.

**** nice car and nice truck.

Exactly and Thank You Mr Jits, Cheers!

It's not known as an S13 Silvia, and he obviously knows it. My question is: despite knowing that, why did he say it?

Also, I don't appreciate name-calling.

It appears you appreciate picking nits though.
Internet........serious business.

Haha ya, that's getting nit picky.... I think the rest of us read his comparison for what it was .... Anyway man nice garage of toys you have, I dream of having both worlds. Speed and offroad under one roof.

Yes, but please be aware that what may be nit-picky to one person might look like a flagrant mistake to another person. When you post something on the internet, millions of people can see it, so you should bet on there being at least one of those people. In this case it happens to be me.

Like I said, it depends on who you are and what world you are coming from as to whether it's nit-picky or not.

Anyway man nice garage of toys you have, I dream of having both worlds. Speed and offroad under one roof.

Thank-you! but I'll start my own thread for that some other day... let's not get farther off topic than we already are! Back to CopperState's 80series project!

LOL! no booster, running tilton peddles and masters.

Found a little time to start on the 4lbs air tank mount, As a surprise to me it fit directly behind the winch tucked up in the front bumper with plenty of clearance. Couple photos when test fitted, now off at the powder coaters so been working on the mounting plate for the compressor (pics soon)

Im in Tucson, and I am very interested in who you took your motor to be rebuilt?

Thanks, and great looking rig

Jpkllr: His name is Bill of Wild Bill's machine shop based in Chino Valley, AZ if you're interested in their number lmk.

Got up early this morning so I went ahead and finished up the mounting plate for the compressor. As that the 80's frame is a enclosed type chassis I decided the compressor would be secured better by welding a studded plate to the chassis instead of drilling the chassis and using self tappers as that getting nuts on the backside was not an option. The fitment is great just back of the control arm on the driver's side. I should be getting the air tank back from the coaters in a couple days.

Thank you. Yes , i would like to have his number if you can find it. Hard to find someone that knows around a 80.

Any plans to protect the compressor in some type of enclosure or something? Reason I ask is because I think it will get extremely dusty and dirty in that location, also it will probably get damaged by water in river crossing or even driving in the rain.....

Very nice 80 series sir. That white is perfect for the Arizona heat.

On your 240, that is very nice, no matter what you call it. Some people have nothing better to do.

I dunno - plenty of experts in PHX :meh:

Lately I've been thinking of picking up a leather cover kit w/ new foam inserts but at a cost of over 600 and also that the passenger seat's forward/reverse motor is dead I have been looking for alternatives and I found one. This weekend we came across a pair of Subaru WRX front seats in great condition on CL asking 200obo but after all was said and done he traded me for a SO 3/8 Air Ratchet that I was looking to let go of. So Sunday morning after dropping off my wife I dove head first into getting them installed and 7 hours later... wallah new seats in the 80!

also got the air tank back from the powder coaters so bolted it in aswell, now just have to wire in the pressure switch and we'll be up and running.

Pezpon: Yes and Thank You, I put together a shield to protect from small debris also will be installing a snorkel so the air intake can be relocated to the upper engine bay so light water crossings and heavy rain will not be an issue.

Slowerthanu: Thanks, I must say White is a good choice being here in Arizona and dealing with the heat.

nice rig and nice seats!

I guess the racing spirit in you hasn't totally dissipate, sir.

The seats didn't bolt straight in and actually it was a bit of a job. The LC seat rails/mounts are just at 13.5" spaced but these Subaru seats were 17.5" so as you can imagine there was a bit of cutting and bracket making going on. I did though only modify the seats, I did no modification of the LC's mounting holes so the original seats still fit and if I ever decide to sell the Subi seats to someone with an 80 they'll bolt right in.
