The project build is complete. Finally. After 3+ years of work, she is back on the road.
The story of this vehicle: My wife owned this car when I met her. We had to sell it when the family was growing, but she always talked about her beloved Land Cruiser. I was restoring a green FJ80 and my wife was looking for parts. This truck came up for sale and she realized it was HER CAR. She was away from us for 15 hard years (she lived up North) so she looked a bit rough. We brought her back over the last 3+ years. There are a few little shakedown tasks left to work on, but she is on the road again!

Awesome! similar journey with my 97, though it stayed in my fam. bought it in 2012, sold it to my dad in 2014, used as our hunting rig until I bought it back in the end of Nov (just after Elk season, still filthy from the hunt lol) it'll be getting a baselining and some well over due TLC, nothing to the extent you did, but decently in depth.

that red is Gorgeous btw

That’s super cool.

That's a really impressive accomplishment! DIY restoration over several years wrapped into a 5 minute video. I could smell the elbow grease through the computer.

It was indeed a lot of work. I have a few little things still to take care of, but the glut of it is done. Very rewarding.

I just have a few little things to take care of. I have the hated P0401 code, the ABS light is on with codes 11, 33, 35. And I have to get the central locking sorted out.

Very solid work!
