Got home a little earlier today from treatment so the wife and I jumped on a couple projects we been wanting to catch up on.

Bottle Opener:
We picked up a YETI bottle opener as well as a tow hitch cover in steel made by Curt (PN 22750), mounted the opener to the cover via the screws supplied with the Yeti opener and shazam a fun custom hitch cover.

Dual battery system:
Finally finished up the dual battery system using a Battery Tray from a 91/2 FJ80, an IBS battery management system and a Slee Offroad relocation bracket for the washer bottle.

Anderson Plug:
Replaced the worn out and decaying dust cover with a fresh Black one.

Can't tell by your pictures, but as a PSA don't connect your winch to the side terminals on an Optima. The current draw is too much for those terminals.
Loving your build, and am headed in the same direction, with Baja trips in mind.

I like how you've got your 2m radio mounted. I have a Kenwood 281 with a front speaker that I'm planning on putting in the bottom half of the 2din location, and then a CB in the ash tray location for when I go out with the Cretins. Have you seen these antenna's, http://www.amazon.com/Laird-Technologies-142-160-Phantom-Antenna/dp/B00794VPBI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_1#productDetails , they're zero gain, but apparently work well and I dig the low profile, and my thought is to carry a 5/8w whip if I need to get more range.

Thanks Roc Doc, the winch wiring at the time of the photo had not yet been relocated but has been since and mounted to the main top posts. I have came across these antennas but never looked into them, We have a Comet NMO 38" whip mounted and a backup 18" just in case.

Had chance to work on the the front portion of the platform. It's basically a 19"x14"x9"H box to house a water pump, heater and shower system. Now just finishing up the plumbing and wiring then I will breakdown the box and spray it to match the platform. (Thanks Dave A)

Not trying to thread jack you here but the po on my truck put the cb on the bottom of the double din which I like because the mic wire doesn't hang over the radio

Finished up the coating on the final addition to the platform. I've set up the water pump and shower unit but have not decided on what type of water heater I would like to go with at this time.

Which Baja rack is it? I don't see the one on their website that had the same setup as shown. Did you guys add the shelf/basket at the front for fuel?

It's a Baja Rack EXP rack with no modifications http://www.bajarack.com/exp-rack

If your looking at the fuel can holder mounted on the rack that was made by Mojave Offroad. I have since removed it from the vehicle as that we are now running a aux fuel tank as well as a rear fuel can carrier.http://www.mojaveoffroad.com/Products.html

Coues7, sorry I let go of it months ago.

Fvaleur, Thanks for the complements.

Toyo 295/75/16 Cross Country A/Ts, ARB bumper, Warn winch a set of PIAA fogs and we Blacked out some of the Chrome parts.

Pros & Cons:

OME 3" suspension kit w/ 4+plus brackets and steering damper

Kit was really basic to install only problem we ran into was that the 4+Plus brackets needed to be filed on the back side so that the main frame bolt could line up in addition to that one of the two aft bolt holes (the inner one) would not line up and had to be lightly opened up with a little filing. This was a problem for both left and right side brackets.

Have you had any issues with driveline vibration with this lift? What springs did you get with this? I am looking at doing the 850J up front and the 863 rear.

No issues what so ever within the driveline. The kit was an easy install and performs nicely. If I recall correctly I did use the 850J and in the rear 863J. I have also recently added a set for 30mm Polly spacers in the rear for the extra weight of the aux fuel tank when filled and still have no problems with the driveline.
