I would almost want to get the cracked one welded and keep as a spare. I wonder what he would charge just for that piece? I wouldn't mind having a spare. Wish I would have kept mine. Looking at it earlier it seems you could run a brace from the bracket to the head on the front but nothing on the rear side.
Even if he sold 100 housings and 2 failed it may seem like a small percentage but if you add up the miles for all of them it probably isn't good. I was around 7-8K when mine failed.
Yea I might take it to my works machine shop and see what they can do for me.

I have less than 2k miles on mine I think.

Man I need to keep a log of this stuff, I dont even remember what my mileage was when I did the conversion .

I have 93 motor on a pallet. I will take some pictures of the stock accessory bracket on mine tomorrow. Is it the inter cooler piping that made the need to swap the ac and alt around? Or getting to the lower radiator inlet?

Problems with the frame rail hitting the lower accessory. Can't remember if it was AC or alternator that was down that low.

Let me know if your looking for something more spicific

I'm assuming your trying to see if this housing could be used in conjunction with the rest of the plate. Maybe but it would be tight. I think the alternator mount that is cast I to it is about 1/4" into the mounting plain of the accessory bracket lower on the block
Doesn't look like the ac hits the frame rail to me. Looks like plenty of room. There may be differences with the 4bt dimensions though. Who put there inter cooler up higher in the grill again?

That would be @Mr Cimarron

So what if a guy left the stock bracket in place routed inter cooler more mid grill, made a custom bracket for the inter cooler up in the grill. I was looking yesterday with my tranny cooler out it looks like plenty of room. I may need to trim some plastic out of the grill, but would solve some of these issues. Would probably have source your own inter cooler and piping.

Well I got my T-stat housing in this weekend and got the beast up and running. Drove it around for a day to make sure all was good then I tore into the trans and put the TransGo shift kit in, that helped the shifting but it was still governed out before it would shift. So after driving a couple miles making sure it worked and no leaks I pulled it back in the garage and put in the 3200 RPM governor spring........ AWESOME! runs and shifts like I was hoping it would from the start.

Now to give it a few days before I put in the BD Diesel performance fuel pin giving me 30-40 more ponies under the hood :D I am going on a trip this weekend so maybe I will drive there without it and put it in there and drive home to get a good feel for it :meh:

Well since Dustin AKA @69rambler never got the me harness to get my reverse lights working I got a hold of Mike at compushift and have been talking to him about it and about getting my O/D off feature to work.

He said the output on the CS2 for reverse will handle LED reverse lights but if more than that we need a relay. No problem there.
The O/D off uses a momentary SW to ground and the light is 12+ output. Our stock O/D SW is a maintained and our light is to ground through our SW. Just the opposite of what we need . When I get some free time I will try to pull out the switch and make it a momentary and try to rewire the dash light to work the way we need. might not get around to it for a while but at least I have a direction to go.\

2B5 is od off Light
2b6 is od off SW

1A9 is relay out for REV light

Yea looks like the same spot. It's weird because Dustin said he has only had the two failures but since my first one that cracked he redesigned it so it's not a twist lock.
I may have to call and see about getting the new design then.
