Gotta get Chunk moving so I can get the turbo 1FZ-FE project back rolling on the 80. Won't have quite the power of the Sub Zero 70 series, but sure gets me fired up.

This morning before the real chores began I carved out the old 2f engine mounts, mated the 12h-t to the transmission/transfer case and set it in with the engine mounts @bdyer12 gave me with the engine. They are all tack welded in so I can proceed with the frame teardown for powder coating.

More "forklift frame work" yesterday. The bumper was bent forward on the drivers side. Not much but better to pull it before removing it. I used the side shift to pull the frame up tight with a chain then a hard steer and drive reverse to pull it out. Worked really well. The frame cross checks square so good there.

I also brought home a parts 62 for some items for Chunk. Some interior bits since it's grey, mirrors, air cleaner for the diesel, fan shroud, rear sway bar, and whatever else I can find useful.

He hasn't been inside yet but he seems ok with it. He wouldn't pose for a picture tho, so Holly the Goldendoodlehead got the nod.

I told buddy that CD needs a picture and he ran right over.

Here ya go!

Interesting bar work on this specimen.

It's got some sweet add ons. Damage multiplier bumper with those sweet side bars, wood back hatch, and a killer wing screwed to the roof.

Might try to put that stuff on Chunk

Sounds like it's demise may have been self inflicted; it just couldn't live like that. Maybe we have finally found out how to kill a 3FE? :D

Embarrass it to death! It still runs perfect tho, so maybe not.

Interesting to see that funny looking white stuff on the ground. It’s 65 degrees here in Alabama today lol

Enough to take a quick lap through the woods in a "white stuff" - mobile :)

You should venture up this winter. Great snowmobiling in northern MI. I've got snowmobiles for you and a couple more snow deprived cruiserheads!

Started playing around with body work tonight. I had bought a big painless dent removal kit a year ago and forgot I had the tool for dings. Chunk has a fair amount of hail damage. Nothing huge but lots of little dents. The puller tool works pretty good. The glue could be a tiny bit tougher but it was nice to pull a bunch of dents and be able to pretty much block the bad area down using the original paint as a guide. It will fill and flatten with primer surfacer at this point I believe.
