Be sure to leave enough holes for water to drain out of the passenger compartment floor pan. You want to be able to hose the interior out and have the water drain.
Good point!
Thanks!
How many would you say?

I read a post here one time. This guy thought the best way to solve Cruiser rust problems was to find where the water stayed in and drill holes to let it out.Good point!
Thanks!

A couple of holes on each side where the rear pan angles into the front floor board should do it. If you want to get fancy find rubber plugs first and drill the holes to fit.
Check the blister packs at Kragen. You could also try Fastenal over by the car wash on Double R.That is actually a reasonable assessment.
Where around here do you get rubber plugs from? Ive never seen em, but then again, I havent really been looking too hard.
you know me....IM FANCY!
BTW, the antenna hole that the PO BLOW TORCHED...Got that cut and patched yesterday, and the back half of the tub paint stripped.
Im about to call the body work 'GOOD" and move on.
fawker!

BTW, there is probably no sense in ordering the Marlin hy steer kit until I get the sag gear box mounted is there since Ill need a custom length drag link?
They are pretty easy to build yourself.
Parts;
BTF
Spidartrax
Both places sell almost every type of thread weld in bungs in right and left hand as well as the correct jam nuts.
My pitman arm came out of a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, I found it at P&P. The TRE is bigger than the 80 series TRE on the other end. The splines were the same as the Sag gear box and the drop and length worked out right.Right on Rusty!
Thanks for the links.
What rod end and pittman arm did you use?
I ordered the sag mounting kit from Georg last night, so that will be on its way. Will be trying to work a sneaky deal with the sag gear box core I have...I need a different gear box than the one I have, and Im hoping that I can use it as a core without it being the same.
My suspicion is that everything is gonna have to be in place (motor, trans, PS etc.) to make sure everything fits how it should, so Im gonna have to have most ALL of the parts here and ready to go when I go to get the motor set.
Thanks STRANGER!
Hope school is good.

You probably want to figure out what winch/bumper you want and how you will be mounting it before you set the gear box up. I had to play with mine to fit the 8274 in.
SOOOOOO, I my un expected day off for pink eye, I was able to run a bunch of errands which were quite productive. Had to drop off the "blotch" plates that were on the 62...While I was there, I stopped into the smog ref to have a chat regarding the vortec transplant...
Seems that because its a PRE 81 model year, all she has to do is pass the sniff test at one of the standard smog stations where the connections/ components do NOT need to be checked!
So with that information I gave Howell fuel injections a call to find out all Id need is a catalitic converter and the first two O2 sensors. SOOOO, what that means for me....No EGR, NO charcoal cannister, none of the CRAP that was gonna cost me a BUNCH more extra..
I then proceeded to drop a grand for all the crap I need from them which will be on its way TOMORROW (wiring harness, ECU with re flash, MAS that I didnt have and O2 sensors with bungs).
Yes, I decided that Id just PUSS OUT on the wiring and save the hassle and BUY one.
Here we GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
