Hit that car wash and never look back. Worse thing that happens is the topper vomes off and you put it back on.

Somewhat on/off topic - how do the various roof racks (Gobi or Prinsu or ???) fair in a auto-wash?

"dorkel"? tell that to my 73 Bronco that swallowed water and destroyed the motor. Not going to let that happen to a $$$$$$$$$$$$$ LC200

Made it through the carwash with this guy 🤷‍♂️

Too cold to wash your own car? Use warm water in the bucket so your hands don't freeze.

My biggest problem washing when cold is that the water freezes to the metal when rinsing it off, making it tough to dry.

For under belly salt I like to use yard sprinklers daisy chained together. Just slide under or drive over.

While I was in the military we had a special under belly washer activated by a pressure plate, something like this:

I've wondered about what it would cost to build that into a driveway or garage with a drain.

I've been eyeing things like this in the mean time:

A year or two ago, someone went thru a car wash (a touch one, not touch free) and his accessories were catching the spinny things and he damaged the car wash and was held responsible for it. I think it was a 4runner guy, I can't remember now.

Either way, I'd only suggest a touch-free tunnel, but generally the "do-it-yourself high pressure spray" kind has always worked the best in my opinion to get these things clean.

Yeah thats what I actually use when I have to get all the mud off mine. I rarely wash it contrary to my previous post. BUT when I do it is usually just a quick wash at one of these high pressure do it yourself places.
